Beer

I'll let you know how it is tomorrow at 12.01

Eebria have them in and there isn't a limit on how many you can order.

You fucking beauty Will. I've never created an account with anybody that quickly before!

The Rapture is nice but not anything extraordinary. Probably not one I'd rush out to buy again.

Nice work Boozad :D

Ah well. It's between Duke of Dank and Moor, Confidence for best Red IPA for me. Yet to try Heretic, Evil Twin which is meant to be a beauty.

It's funny, the brewing scene over here has been going crazy for American style hopped up craft beer for the past few years. I think I read somewhere that there are 5 double IPAs being launched this weekend alone! Kegged beer is snowballing and is the dispense method of choice for many breweries new beers*. CAMRA is even revitalising and changing it's focus (kind of).

Over in America though, the first cask-only brewery is just about to go pro in Chicago - http://goodbeerhunting.com/blog/2016/3/14/getting-real-chicagos-present-tense-fine-ales

Seems we just eventually want something different to what we are used to...

*Read this from the brewer at Hardknott about their beer "Azimuth" the other day - http://hardknott.blogspot.co.uk/2016/03/hardknott-keg-at-beerx.html
My intention is to have Azimuth on keg permanently. Irrespective of the assertions to the contrary by the cask lovers brigade Azimuth is just stunning on keg and way better than cask. The extra carbonation lifts the aromatics of the hop volatiles with stupendous results.

Evil Twin is amazing.

Its on tap from 3! Eagerly anticipating it's arrival...

Suppose it would be quite dangerous to start pouring a 9%er at midway!

Just sipping a Slaters Smoked Porter on cask. Lovely smoke flavour without being overbearing. A bit thin perhaps but the spicy, earthy roasted malts make it pretty balanced for the style and very drinkable.

Just had word from The Wine Seller. He's getting his DIPA v3 delivery next week :D

Moor, Nor' Hop on keg at Slaters. So fucking good.

Suppose I should go to the match though in a min.

A Moor Raw on cask to follow in the new King Street Brewhouse.

Superb. Moor are fantastic.

All you beer aficionados should come down for the Brizzle game next season.

Fuck the game, Brizzle's enough of a draw as it is without having to suffer that tripe to interrupt the drinking.

Haha! There's a serious crawl that can be done that leads upto Ashton Gate.

It is a tremendous city for drinking.

That needed repeating. I only spent three nights there and I fucking loved it. I could easily sit in Small Bar every night for the rest of my life. Probably nip to Zero Degrees for a few of their brews and a pizza, and Three Brothers for a burger once in a blue moon (and their beer selection is not to be sniffed at). Awesome place.
