Beer

First taste of the Jesus and it was a no go. Still got 5 left, certainly 3 of them I am dubious about before having them.

What you got left?

Dopple
Slovenian Brown Ale
Nitro
The lemon sour one
Mary Christmas

The Nitro was ace - pour it in a big glass really fast.
Slovenian Brown was nice too, very bitter.
Mary Christmas wasn't my cup of tea at all. Not a fan of Christmassy spices, which this has in abundance.
If you didn't like the Tart, then the you'll probably hate the Sleeping Lemons.
Not had the Dubbel yet.

It appears that today I'm being restricted to a glass of Prosecco and a Banks's Bitter...

Happy Tipplemas folks :)

Totally dry today. The way I now prefer Christmas Day. However, tomorrow is another day!

UnTappd just have me a badge for drinking 12 different beers in one day! Ace...

Grats?

Isn't that one of the beer sampling/festival ones?

It was called 'Take it easy' :icon_lol:

I have to say that about half of them were shared out between a few of us. Some fucking great beers though.

Good haul yesterday.

12 pack of Brewdog's new Prototype range (3x Session IPL, 3x Hopped up Brown Ale, 3x Black IPA, 3x Milk Stout).
Fyne Ales - Fynebank (peat smoked golden ale)
Hoxton - Stout
Wild Beer - Wild Goose Chase (gooseberry saison)
Wild Beer - Somerset Wild
Ayinger - Dunkel
Ska Brewing - Rudie (session IPA)
Oskar Blues - Mama's Little Yella Pils
Oskar Blues - Pinner IPA
Odell - Cut Throat Porter
Howling Hops - Riding Ale
Robinsons - 9 Hop IPA
Panda Frog Project - Pandazilla (7% Cascadian Dark Ale)
Odell - 90/-
Odell - Loose Leaf
Gypsy Inc - Gyp Wit
Mendocino - Red Tail (amber ale)
Tempest - Long White Cloud
Lervig/Redchurch - Softly Softly (Brett'd & oaked Belgian red ale)
Brouwerij Verhaeghe - Duchesse De Bourgogne (Flemish Red)
Plus a load of Orkney - Dark Island

Pretty chuffed with that. Should keep me going for a week or two...

:beerchug:

Finally decided to try Holdens Master Ale. 10% so only 1/3, but fucking hell - it is SO tasty. So smooth, bursting with flavour - a quality dark, strong ale that I couldn't recommend enough. Wonderful.

Had a few pints of Stewart Weiss Christmas Noire this afternoon. A black wheat beer, interesting taste and good for a few pints.

Feel like shite now though, getting too old for afternoon drinking.

Lakeland Gold (Hawkshead) and Blonde Witch (Moorhouse) enjoyed after that debacle on the box. Very nice and very ale tasting.

Turns out the Blonde Witch is not a name to use for my better half. Shed's warm though.

I got a brewing kit and made some beer from scratch (using grains and hops) looking forward to trying it in a few weeks!

Decided against trying this and stuck to the 4% weaker beer last night.
