Aston Villa 1-0 Wolves: Verdict Thread

He took the studs on the top of his foot, and I expect it would have hurt him tbh. Kamara took a similar challenge from Arias that was checked for serious foul play that resulted in his yellow (which was the right decision imo).

what pissed me off more in the match was villa and mcginn moaning out our free kick placement, when they seemed to want to dictate where they took free kicks and throw ins from. I mean digne must have walked at least 20 yards down the line on a few occasions, often taking throws from inside our half, when the ball went out in the villa half. ref was piss weak in dealing with it.

Sorry but I don't care if it did hurt. If the decision goes against you there's no point rolling around in the middle of the pitch when your teammates are defending and ultimately conceding the winning goal from a position where you should've been. There's no point going on about how much effort the players are giving if they don't make the effort when it ultimately counts. Once the decision goes against you, rightly or wrongly, you've got to get on your feet and get back into position even if you are in pain.

It's moments like this that have killed us this season and it's not only down to a lack of ability, it's a lack of fight and professionalism.

Gentle graze on the foot. Would barely even have registered, hence why he ignored it until he lost the ball. The arias one is a too footed full body weight jump/stamp. Dreadful technique and a cowards challenge, seen people sent off for less. They aren’t alike in the slightest.

With Gomes they scored 40 seconds after the tackle, and the ball was just ambling around in midfield for half of it. He wasn’t hurt so what was he trying to achieve? Villa weren't going to kick it out and the ref wasn’t gonna stop it. Yes he got his foot grazed. But it didn’t even look like a foul live. Its the sort of shite twats like Podence used to do. But he was hopeless out of possession, not your all action, combative central midfielder
