Well the Mail is turning into Radio WM then. There are 3 levels of "winner" in this tournament. We won the 2nd level tournament, Villa the 3rd level. Think Newcastle win overall (beating Rangers who made the final despite losing to us).
Ok. Sure I'd read somewhere that because they go in the Champions league the 7th place club effectively move up a place but we lose our 3rd Europa spot. Oh well Kazakhstan it is!
Don't we avoid the earlier qualifiers OF Chelsea/Arsenal win the Europa league but finish 5th or 6th in the league? (Assuming we qualify at all for the superstitious).
The only thing that makes me wonder 're that Mirror article is the idea we can smash through the wage ceiling but are much more limited subsequently. If that's right it makes sense (sort of) to go way beyond in the window you do exceed it.
Would think they will struggle with the likely fee. We'd surely want far more than the £40million suggested, quite possibly double. Plus there's no reason or, as far as we can tell, pressure to sell.
Otamendi definitely leaving City in the summer according to the twittersphere. I'd be happy to have him here but know some don't rate him.
He has former experience with Nuno as well so might be a possibility.
I thought we could smash the FFP wage limit (if we're currently below it) and were then limited to an extra £7million + non TV revenue increase per year? Not that I'm suggesting we should or could sign those two, much as I like Sane'.
Depends how you see your day. We will go to Marylebone and have a drink in the city before tubing back to Wembley. Pubs round the ground aren't great. If you want to go straight t o Wembley area then Moor St is your best bet, though I don't think they have confirmed a stop at Wembley yet.
