[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

There’s something quite different about this team and I can’t put my finger on it: whether it’s more professional, hard working or just doesn’t get phased. Lage or Lopetegui’s Wolves wouldn’t have won so comfortably yesterday - JL would have gotten incredibly fired up I think and taken away...

I love this celebration: “we own this place” 😂

He was excellent again yesterday. Albion fans I know were raving about what a top quality player he is.

The media love a bit of hyperbole. Same as the commentators saying it’s as bad as the scenes of the 70’s. Erm.

That’s the bit I don’t get: he held his hands up, is leaving, and they start for zero reason.

[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

I think WBA will get a penalty for what ensued after the Wolves fan(s) had been escorted out. If it was one fan there was no reason for it to take 40 minutes, and doesn’t excuse the WBA fans who went onto the pitch throughout the commotion. It is harsh as those select few will potentially bring...

[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

The club aren’t to blame though so they’ve no need to condone any actions - the blame is with the home side for willy nilly ticketing in attempts to get a sell out.

No need for their fans to start on him there really.

[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

I didn’t see anything untoward from the away end apart from the “missile” when Neto scored. Admittedly I was watching on TV but I didn’t clock anything thrown at WBA players, or any Wolves fans running from the away end to join in with the fight.

[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Nothing to make a statement about. They can’t control the ticketing of the home side. Ultimately it falls to WBA as to why an away fan ended up in the home end.

[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

It sounds like an undercover Wolves fan sparked it by giving it the big one, but as I say you just let the stewards escort him out. From the TV it looked like their fans went on the pitch to go after the police to be honest.

[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

I think their fans are failing to understand that, you know, their club being desperate for money/a full stadium made it possible for Wolves fans to buy tickets 🤣. A couple on Westbrom.com claim their were fans around them wearing Wolves coats, in which case that’s appalling stewarding!

[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Neto only celebrated the same way Pereira did two years ago. I’m sure had Wallace or Townsend scored they’d have given it large also.

[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

I don’t really see how any punishment can come Wolves’ way as a club - maybe a lifetime ban for the fan who riled their supporters up but that’s it. Wolves can’t control their fans buying tickets from Albion fans, and Neto and Cunha just gave a bit of banter in their goal celebrations. Nothing...

[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

I think there’s fault both sides and the attempt to shuffle blame one way or the other is a bit odd - particularly when they’re going so far as to say there’s a cost of living crisis so you can’t blame WBA fans for selling tickets for potentially hundreds, and it isn’t their fault their mate...

[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

A handful of their fans are pointing fingers at the Wolves fan who sat in the home end and apparently “started it” but the overwhelming feeling is that they are ashamed to be Albion fans tonight and a tasty fine (or multiple) are heading their way which their finances absolutely cannot deal with...

[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

I’ve always found it a bit of a lazy nickname. Both Wolverhampton and Sandwell have deprived and decent areas. Also, I’m sure it’s what Ipswich fans refer to Norwich fans as.

[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Might just be me but I’d think a Premier League keeper would come out and snuffle his goal before he has chance to shoot - it wasn’t a great touch. Pedro’s goal was fairly tame too, not too much power behind it.

[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Their keeper really was poor. Those two goals potentially don’t get scored in the Premier League. God knows why those two Albion defenders let Neto cut in.
