[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Nothing to make a statement about. They can’t control the ticketing of the home side. Ultimately it falls to WBA as to why an away fan ended up in the home end.
Precisely. If there were any Wolves fans in there that's on Albion and their silly, unsolicited plus 1 ticketing policy. Nothing we can do about that at all

I didn’t see anything untoward from the away end apart from the “missile” when Neto scored. Admittedly I was watching on TV but I didn’t clock anything thrown at WBA players, or any Wolves fans running from the away end to join in with the fight.

I'd have guessed that if we for sure had supporters taking part, the club would have to give a boilerplate "we in no way condone the actions of certain supporters blah blah blah" statement. Maybe not, though!

It's accepting blame. We'd be silly to do that

The club aren’t to blame though so they’ve no need to condone any actions - the blame is with the home side for willy nilly ticketing in attempts to get a sell out.

Yeah, I accept that, but by the same token WBA didn't throw any punches. We can get on with the ticketing thing but it feels harsh (to me!) if Albion get a massive penalty as a club.

As one of theirs said, there's no excuse for what happened today, no matter who was in the home stand. But I appreciate that hooliganism is a thing that is fairly alien to me, at least as it has existed over there.

I think WBA will get a penalty for what ensued after the Wolves fan(s) had been escorted out. If it was one fan there was no reason for it to take 40 minutes, and doesn’t excuse the WBA fans who went onto the pitch throughout the commotion.

It is harsh as those select few will potentially bring a hefty fine to a club that could really, really do without it

Like the way they all congratulate each other after, idiotic of a wolves to be in there it really is but he’s pretty much saying let me out. The passion of football doesn’t exonerate beating someone like that.
They'll get a ban, the person he sold him the ticket will get a ban, he won't would be my guess.
All that said I've been in the wrong end a few times and you do have to understand the rules of what you are doing

Just seen that Albion have blues at home next game. That could get tasty too, but I guess their rivalry isn't like ours

It may have worsened recently now that's the only one they really play, but historically it's always been pretty cordial. St. Andrews is half the distance to the Hawthorns that Molineux is
