Welcome to Wolves Emmanuel Agbadou

It isnt unfounded is it? He was playing well until Rogers did him?
No, I think he looks decent in the very small amounts we've seen him in the Premier league and he's done really well in the lower quality leagues on loan, I have high hopes, it just concerns me people are putting a lot of expectation after 2 serious injuries, hopefully the long period in between shows he's not injury prone. He should provide good competition for that RCB with Djiga and Doc.

With an injury like Yerson has sustained there can’t be any guarantees. If he comes back fit and to his previous standard, he’ll be an asset IMO, but we can’t rely on that (though I’m sure the club will).

Yeah that's where I am. I do have more faith that Yerson will stay fit than say Sasa as he had that extended period of 2 loans where he was fine.

Unfair on Rogers. His reaction to the free kick and Mosquera being injured was out of order but the challenge itself wasn’t a bad one.
Disagree, the whistle had gone, he didn't need to make the challenge, the reaction to both made it look even more intentional too. If you show no remorse for someone going off on a stretcher and have a go at him like he did it's more likely it was meant. Very similar to Keane on Haaland in his reaction.

Mosquera looked easily as good as Agbadou from the games I saw him in.

Yep. Showed all the traits of becoming an absolute Rolls Royce of a defender before getting injured - and in a complete shitstorm of a defence under Gaz too. He plays the game right on the edge, which I love about him, but it's 2025 so we should also plan to have replacements in the wings for the inevitable suspension/s*

*Fortunately, we have Doc ;)

Yerson's less *deep breath* physical than Emmanuel, but he's equally as intelligent and aggressive, and a bit better on the ball, I'd say. He's also a proper leader and will give his two cents to anyone. I cannot say enough how much joy it brought me to watch Yerson hold Matt Miazga accountable for being so mid, especially as Matt gets treated like a fucking golden boy over here still (see: Miazga winning MLS DotY for 2023, despite Yerson being easily the better performer over the season and propping up Miazga throughout).

As I'll harp on until Yerson is back in a competitive match, though, the above is if he doesn't have long-term effects from the injury. It's tough to be a fire and brimstone type of leader when you can't back it up by example.

Mosquera gets better every second he’s not playing…….

He looked ok - didn’t make anywhere near the impact Agbadou’s made, in my view.

I’d still be looking at another quality CH if we can get one.

A few things you're forgetting.

Mosquera was playing in a 4, with Johnstone behind him and crucially, with GON as manager and still looked good.

“It’s important, because playing with a left foot on the left side is easier,” said Pereira. “I want Toti to make overlaps, to cross and create superiority from the back and to do it with a right foot is difficult on the left. So we need to find another (left-footed) one. We need two with this profile.”

We still have Dawson, Pond, Doc, Djiga, Agbadou, Toti, Bueno and Mosquera on our books who can all play CB.

We won't be signing another one? 🤷‍♀️
Well Dawson is clearly gone. Jury is very much out on Pond, Santi & Djiga (although I think Nasser will come good - he's looked a tad nervous but has good attributes). Doc will stay as an experienced head in the dressing room & is fine as a squad/back-up option. So we've basically got three genuine PL starters in Yerson, Agbadou & Toti. I think we'll certainly want to add another left sided centre back - then we'll see how recruitment goes in other positions before we decide on the others.

Dawson is gone.
Pond will surely be gone
Beuno will have most of TWF offering to drive him to the airport as I think he will want out
Doc - He can stay but only if he moves in with @Deutsch Wolf

Agba, Toti, Djiga, Doc along with Mosq means we need at least 1

Given how historically we have undersupplied the squad, I am amazed anyone thinks we will intentionally have 6 players for 3 places come September.

How many CBs did Hobbs want at the start of this season? He wanted Bueno off out on loan too.

That's not what you said. You said we wouldn't sign another CB because we already had enough.

Vítor will ask for another CB. Whether we get one over the line and the quality of the player if we do is a completely different issue.

He's right. But I'll believe it when I see it.

We haven't had more than 1 first team adequate striker under Fosun have we?

6 CBs for 3 spaces?
