WWE/WWF

Dark is considered the second show as in the smackdown to Raw but Dark has had some pretty good matches on it.

Aew is firing on all cylinders at the moment and is very enjoyable especially after that Stadium Stampede.

Fyter Fest isn’t the next PPV it’s the next Dynamite special after Bash at the Beach in January and the cancelled Blood and Guts. Instead of monthly PPV’s they’re doing quarterly PPV’s and specials to blow off/ advance story lines. Fyter Fest was supposed to be AEW’s UK Debut until the Coronavirus hit.

Ah right see I thought of it as more of a Heat or Superstars (pre split rosters) kind of thing but I've only watched a few up till now.

Right so they have quarterly PPV's but also these specials inbetween (a kind of half step between PPV and normal Dynamite). So are they always over 2 nights replacing Dynamite or is that just because of Covid?

Ah shame its not in the UK, where was it due to be held?

O2 Arena apparently

Yeah it’ll still be Dynamite but as a TNT Special which is a throwback to the old clash of the Champions.

The worldwide and Uk wrestling scene is on it’s arse at the moment the #speakingout movement has exposed the real shitty side of wrestling with some absolute shocking revelations against some of Britains biggest stars and a few in the states. There’s so much to this it’s hard to keep up with wrestlers getting Blackballed across the board.

Also... in a change of direction from the negativity of the wrestling business. Chapter 5 of the Undertakers last ride documentary went live last night (which is absolutely brilliant) The Undertaker after 30 years in the WWE has pretty much announced his retirement. I grew up watching the Undertaker and wanting to him. He’s left myself and my family with so many great memories over the years and can only wish the man an amazing retirement from the ring.

Which British stars? (even when I'd stopped watching wrestling regularly still tried to keep up to date with the wrestlers from this side of the water)

I see Sammy Guevara has been suspended for some stupid comments made in 2016. Gutted as he one of my favourites seemed to be heading down some angle with Matt Hardy was looking forward to see what they did with him.

Where can you watch those Undertakers last ride doc?

Watched the New Jack episode of Dark Side Of The Ring last night crazy him obviously mentally unwell and coked up to fuck most the time (including the interview for it I think).

.

Jimmy Havoc, El Ligero, David Starr (canadian but big over here), Jack Galagher, Trent Severn, Jordan Devlin, Joe Coffey and loads more (again innocent until proven guilty)

Sammy apologized publicly and to Sasha directly so really it should have been done there. Shame it’s ended a potentially amazing rivalry with #Broken Matt Hardy

This one hurts a lot but RIP Rollerball Rocco, you taught me so much and gave a useless piece of crap a chance in this business when he didn’t belong.

Yeah, he and Dynamite Kid were well ahead of the game.

Shame that remember him from his run against Undertaker when I was a kid....first time the used a casket match I think.

That would be correct, those promo’s with Undertaker building the Casket and Kamala selling how scared he is made the entire feud.

Kamala had a gimmick that really wouldnt work into today’s cancel culture but for the time of the outlandish characters the part was played well.

Another round of WWE cuts happening today starting with Gerald Brisco who has been a wwe employee for 36 years

I see road warrior/legion of doom star Joseph Laurinaitis (Animal) has passed away.

Quite sad Legion Of Doom were my first favourite tag team as a kid, them and Ultimate Warrior were my first real hero's from the Wrestling world.

Only watched the Hawk episode of Darkside Of The Ring a week or so ago.

Only just seeing this 60 is no age at all. My favourite Animal moment (im only 26) was in 2006 when he finally binned off that awful tag team with Heidenreich and got a good story out of a very plain wrestler

I saw them in action live when WWF came to Dublin in 1994. They fought against the Natural Disasters and won, it was one of the better bouts that night.
Macho man vs Mr.Perfect was the headliner and it was the best fight

Was there a wrestler that dressed as a native American? He'd go into a sort of trance, dancing around the ring and nothing could hurt him?

Yeah most my early memories of Legion Of Doom are them feuding with Demolition then the Natural Disasters/Nasty Boys.

On the subject of Natural Disasters I think the Tugboat/Typhoon switch was the first every heel turn I remember. It was big news on our Infants school playground that!

Think I'd lost interest by then don't remember ever seeing him get any singles time. What was the story?

Think the 3 man version inc Droz and the Hawk losing it angle was the last I remember of either of them.

Heidenreich and Animal teamed together won the tag titles as a nod to hawk. When they lost them Animal turned on Heidenreich and theres was lots of promos where Animal called him a disgrace and unfit to walk in Hawks boots or something like that.

Animals last wwe match was in June 2012 against Heath Slater who he naturally squashed in no time flat
