When they release people isn't there a non-compete clause preventing jumps to AEW or NJPW? Be interesting to see if they've waived that out of common decency..

Vince's XFL vanity project has again filed for bankruptcy so not a good few days for him.

Have a look at John Olivers rant on the WWE's employment track record.

It’s not stated usually 90 days but at this point it doesnt matter as AEW have taped there shows up till mid may. The Revival who were released last week didn’t have a no compete clause added to there release. Can’t imagine AEW signing literally everyone however whoever signs for AEW is free to work for New Japan like Jericho and Moxley have.

Posted about the XFL in the nfl thread. Vince swore WWE had nothing to do with it but they had shares after all and vince promised to chuck $300m at it and hasnt while shafting everyone in the process.

Basically Vince Mcmahon has damaged his reputation badly and worst of all he’s to help restart the economy. Ffs Trump Not even I can defend you on this one.

Also AEW has been deemed as non essential in Florida and cannot run from Jacksonville

The sad news keeps coming in.

RIP Howard Finkel who’s died age 69

They probably haven't thrown $18m at Trumps re-election campaign

You’d think Shahid Khan who’s worth more than Vince & Trump would have some sort of power within the state of florida

More releases incoming apparently after the son of Mr Perfect, Curtis Axel has been released.

Also theres a lovely rumour going around of WWE selling up to ESPN and Disney

Recently (last few weeks more time on hands etc) got back into pro wrestling.

Used to be WWF/WWE all the way for me (even back in the day when plenty switched to WCW pre attitude era), but not for me anymore I'm sure its still considered the premium product but there's just too much content for me to keep up on (I'm the kind of person if I'm following something wanna see it all) and not really been a fan since the roster + increased belts etc.

Prefer something really with just one flagship show but still with a decent pool of talent/continuity with storylines etc but still followable. Ie not 28 different belts across 3 different shows, not a criticism of WWE just not suited to me if Iwant to maintain watching once lockdowns over.

Had a few brief spells with TNA/Impact over the years but have settled on AEW over these past few weeks (had watched a bit of it when it first appeared just out of interest).

Have to say enjoying it, their Dynamite show returned to 'live' last week (was starting to tell a bit that the 'taped' shows were relying on a small pool of wrestlers actually there).

Just a bit disappointed to learn ITV no longer carry their pay per views. Looks like this Fite Network is the only option? Anyone know if you can get that through a Virgin Media box?

Aew: Double or Nothing not being on ITV Box office is a weird one but can be streamed through a Ps4 through the Fite website or Pm me the day after and i’ll send you a link.

WWE has been lacking for me and the storylines have been all over the place for 18 months however I have enjoyed the firefly fun house, boneyard match and the money in the bank match at wwe headquarters.

I am with you in regards to the titles and have to admit I primarly watch Dynamite since it launched in October there have been some amazing angles and stories since AEW became a thing last year, the street fight from the last episode with the return to live tv was brilliant. In the “no fans” show’s that WWE has ran have been mega outshined by AEW’s presentation with the Wrestlers at ringside trying to give a bit of an atmosphere and the stories they told with a barebones roster.

From what I've read I think its more to do with ITV ditching their box office platform than anything else.

Yeah that street fight was pretty cool! Fan of that Sammy Guevara me hope he gets pushed, if this TNT title is going to act as like their mid card championship which I presume it is I'd like to see him get a run at that later in the year.

Agree re the no fans shows seem to have done it as best as can under circumstances.

Ah nice one re the PPV I'll probably take you up on that as doubt I' have watched it live anyway probably the next day.

No worries pacamac just drop me a PM and I’ll sort it.

In regards to Guevara he’s brilliant, he’s getting a hell of a rub by being Jericho’s right hand man and being in the Inner Circle. The TNT title will be the mid card title I’d imagine but at the moment the right man to be holding said title is Lance Archer everything he’s done since Debuting with Jake Roberts has been gold! The match he had with Marko Stunt was pure entertainment.

Nice one

Ah yeah that's true I was kind of thinking a bit further down the line.

Hopeful Lance Archer picks up the belt, see him and Cody feuding over it for a while then I'd like Guevara to come into play.

I need to sit down with AEW, I watch the YouTube clips if WWE and am upto date but the last time I actually tried to watch Raw I found it utterly unwatchable. Just three hours of adverts interrupted with the odd five minutes of wrestling. Missed intros, middle of matches then again at the end. How the fuck are you supposed to get invested in it? I get during the match it probably coincides with the grapplers selling but it did nothing for me.

Do you still get the ads on the WWE Network shows too? Is it like it on AEW?

Ads all over the place on WWE TV it can be unwatchable, lack of story even before Covid-19 (minus the brilliant boneyard match) no ads on the network in between matches.

Aew does have ad breaks but the matches have consistant storys behind them that keep you coming back. When you’ve got Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone calling the action it helps keep the flow of the story. If you need any links to Dynamite let me know

I see there's a mystery contestant in the casino ladder match at AEW's pay per view.

Likely to be one of the guys recently released by the WWE?

Unlikely Pac as they have 90 day no competen clauses, wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Brian Cage or Drew Gulak (who is exempt from the no compete due to his contract expiring)
