There weren't really too many highlights from MGW in the swansea game he was deeper in CM, he struggled physically but sprayed the ball around quite nicely. I haven't been this excited about a youngster since Robbie Keane, I actually think he could be better, his technique is up there with Cav, Jota and Costa and with the level of coaching he is getting I can't wait to see more.

Nuno will nurture him but I really think his place is further up the pitch in the front 3 for now, he may well develop for a deeper position later on but I am not sure it will suit him just yet.

Love the GIF's keep em coming.

MGW will end up deeper, he doesn't have the pace to play as a 10 as he did yesterday. If we didn't have Neves he'd be in the team already

According to the strict laws of the game tackling with your head whilst on the ground is a foul so that's a penalty . Have I got that right?

I believe it's an indirect free kick. Basically, because you're forcing the other player to not kick as they normally would as most folk don't want to kick someone else in the head

P.s. why does their other defender arrive on the scene sliding on his arse?

Jota getting in a scuffle? Too hard to believe.

If he'd have passed it to Jota we'd have won the match. That doesn't take away from the fact that he was excellent when he came on though.

I think he will be in the front three, we dont want them skillz going to waist he's gonna make a lot of defenders look silly. I didn't think he was that good in CM but obviously he's only had very limited time there for us and he certainly hasn't let anyone down (and would improve no doubt). I say again with respect that sort of trickery belongs in the final third.
I think this young man is gonna have a huge future our next full international.

I thought that when seeing him but I think he'll become more of a David Silva type player who operates best behind the front man but essentially has a bit of a free role. Would work extremely well with Jota and Cav being very fluid in front of him.

Dembele is the comparison point for me and he didn't move into CM until he was about 24. Mark Hughes bought him as a striker and he was always a forward in the Eredivisie.

Think the first time I ever noticed him was playing up front for Fulham at Molineux and he absolutely wrecked face.

crap I didn't even realize there was a midweek game, saw the reminder but I thought it was for saturday.

that last minute goal was... something.

MGW is young, he'll learn. caught up in the moment, but Jota rightfully frustrated by his decision.

a lot of bagging on n'daiye but isn't he 3 in 3 now? obviously goals aren't everything, just kind of a weird situation.

Seyi was our top scorer one season. He was still fucking appalling.

Alf is decent but he does impact on how we normally play. Basically he can't do what Saiss does. He offers other things but it's whether we actually need that.

He had a couple of great games too so set the bar high

I know I'm a bit biased but having seen the whole match now, I think Norwich were really, really lucky to get a point.

Watching the game live and in the moment I can't say I thought they were lucky. We should have prevented it due to poor substitutions and formation changes and a goalkeeping error, but Norwich lucky? No.

The highlighted stuff, plus poor ref decisions, plus the way we fucked chances up, handed Norwich a point. You don't agree they were lucky? Fine, you're entitled to your opinion, but I'm entitled to mine too and I maintain they were really lucky.

35yds shots go in from time to time, and our defence and goalkeeper do switch off from time to time, our manager made arguably his first tactical error of the season, shame it all happened in one match. Cost us 2 points, unluckily.

How they got their equaliser was lucky, but I think that on the balance of the last twenty minutes it is hard to argue against them deserving something from the game. All of the above doesn't make it any less frustrating though. Burning points with the last kick of the game is like a punch to the balls.
