I don't doubt there's some kind of petty nonsense at heart (if it wasn't just teething problems back in December). But that's not really good enough if they want to do it properly.

Honestly I cast BT from my phone all the time, it's HD, doesn't disconnect, doesn't lag, doesn't buffer. I couldn't watch three minutes of Amazon's stuff without it cutting out.

It's free if you have a BT Mobile SIM. £5 extra for the full app for large TVs.

I just use the BT Sport app in Windows as my TV is hooked up to my PC. Its not quite fully HD but good enough.

Ah nah think I'll hold off for my yearly cancellation call/redeal.
