Wolves / Covid-19

Deadline to spend Wolves cash extended indefinitely (just had a text from Wolves)

Telegraph reporting Prem League will restart like this

Wed June 17:
Aston Villa v Sheffield United,
Manchester City v Arsenal.

Puts everyone on 29 games played

Then the rest of the games will start from the 19th

Interesting one. Do we want Villa to lose and push them closer to the drop, or Blades to lose and that means if the league has to get halted again and they end up deciding on PPG, we finish 6th?

Obviously we would want City to beat Arsenal.

I'd like Sheff Utd to beat Villa.

But my head says a Villa win would be best for us.

Would like to finish 6th rather than 7th (though that possibly doesn't affect Europa qualification that much) - would be happier with Villa facing the drop.

Pad will probably know better than me as he did hours of research into it all, but maybe if we finish 6th we don't have to go through all the qualification rounds?

6th is straight in with City having nabbed the League Cup I think

So that's when they're looking to play the games- have we nailed down where they'll be played?

It'll likely be our own stadiums. The Bundesliga hasn't had any issues in that regard.

Though the scouse fans are bound to act like pricks and congregate.

It has properly wiped out home advantage though. So few home wins across the first three rounds.

Which kind of makes Brighton's point about neutral grounds nonsense.

If we need to do qualifying again given the level we will need to play then I would take that to relegate Villa

I'm hoping there will be 1 x warning for the whole league. 1 set of fans turn up and that warning will be issued from the PL and Police. Happens again at any club and League done. guilty team docked points and PPG used to finalise the League

7th would get straight in if the City ban is upheld and one of the Top 6 win the FA Cup assuming they are still planning a mini tournament at the end of the season

Scenes as West Ham bribe Palace fans to turn up (knowing that unless they get docked a stupid amount, it doesn't matter either way to them) and get the league ended...

It would make a good Netflix drama in 2025, so bring it on.

Considering I dont intend on watching netflix until 2025 once this is all finished then I'm up for that!

Re sheff U and Villa, I want us to finish as high up as possible. A few years ago the very idea of us challenging for sixth place was fantasy land, really, really want this season to play out.

I would just bring in a rule that any cunts caught congregating outside stadiums when a game is on automatically banned from attending for 5 years, should be enough of a deterrent for all but the stupidest of people

Yeah I saw that it was three home wins, which included Dortmund and Bayern.

No you'd have to just deduct points from that particular club. Over and over if necessary, getting worse for each repeat offence.
