Wolves Academy Thread

Keita misses an open goal. Sounds like second half been quiet.

Ended 0-0. We hit the post twice and missed sitters from Keita, Reid, Torres and Hunte. Flatt had one save to make and it bounced off his shoulder.

Donovan Wilson looks a real talent. Defence looked solid. Hunte has major attitude issues.

Trouble in the crowd. Pissed up Albion fan couldn't keep his mouth shut

overall good performace

Considering that (I think) WBA are near the top of the league & we are not then that's not a bad result.

Sounds as if we had chances to finish it off - a few more youngsters ready to come through soon?

Keita hit the post from 6 yards out when the ball squirmed past the keeper. Wont write him off yet but reminded me of clarke.

Although a little raw, Id say Eusebio, Hunte and Graham could break through soon but not sure we could accommodate them. It will please Moxey no end

So it should, he has been accused of doing it on the cheap no end by certain sections of our fans, however the resources that must go in to the way we run our u21s and down must be immense, coaches, scouts, fitness coaches, strength coaches, educators and then all the roles that we probably don't know about. They don't all work out obviously however we bring in a lot of people from overseas, which obviously not everyone can do, and we seem to be doing well at attracting players from other places so we obviously make a good impression. I appreciate that the U21's league position isn't great, but if people like Evans, Price, Hause, Iorfa keep progressing through (or via) then I don't care where we finish.

Deutsch will be please to know that Seyi is now the under 15's coach.

Did he fail his engineering degree then?

Maybe he fancied staying in football. Let's face it, he is hardly going to be broke, so can make his own choice about what he wants to do.

I remember he missed the team photo as he was at his graduation for something or other engineering related.

U18s playing Spurs away in their Youth Cup tie, would be great for them to have a good run this year.

Team: Burgoyne; Matinyadze, Upton, Hayden, Johnson, Rainey. Ronan, Finnie, Leacock-McLeod, Enobakhare, Hunte.

Subs: Bills, Breslin, Carnat, Devers, Delacoe,

Commentary on Wolves player

Man Utd next if (and it's a big if) we can get a result.

It's a tough game, Spurs have a great set up and always have a decent side at u18 and u21 level

Bright start to second half but no equaliser so far, both full backs on a booking. The left sided one, Joe Muscatt, played at the same club as me. I remember him leaving to join Arsenal!

Spurs should have gone ahead but good block by our right back after Burgoyne saved.
