U18s try the Crossbar Challenge and an interview with Rob Edwards.....

England U20s: Walton; Iorfa, Ball, Hause, Targett; Baker (c), Reed, Harrop; Murphy, Wilson, Ibe.

Good to see two of our lads in there amongst some exceptionally highly rated players in Baker, Reed, Ibe and Wilson in particular.

That's brilliant. We bought both of them but we have still played a part in their development!

It is always nice when our younger players get recognised by International managers. It will be a great experience for both of them.

Just seen this on MolMix. Sounds promising.

My boys work colleague has a son who plays for QPR U16's who played Wolves on Saturday- Wolves won 3-0.

My son asked for some feedback about what QPR thought: General feedback was that they were very impressed and:

Wolves' midfield was excellent and totally dominated the game

Wolves held onto the ball a few times for 3 or 4 mins. confidently pasing it around without losing it.

The players said the facilities where as good as Arsenal's- only facilities considered better among the group were Spurs & Chelsea's.

Under 18s also beat QPR 5-0 goals from Devers x 3, Rainey & Nicolae Carnat.

Our facilities do look very impressive and the indoor pitch is a great addition! It plays a huge part not just in helping to develop players and the play good football but to encourage them to come to Wolves

Let's hope some of that success starts to tell at senior level! Thank God we rid ourselves of Weaver.

U21s vs Corby Town last night:

SQUAD: Flatt, Matinyadze, O’Hanlon, Weeks, Swan, Carter, Bancessi, Torras, Reid, Ronan, Hunte, Erdei, Dutton, Upton, Rainey.

We drew 1-1, with Reid scoring the equaliser following Hunte's dismissal.

My home town and fellow other team Corby, was tempted to drive back from Sheffield to watch this as have dreamt of seeing my two sides place since I was about 8!

I was born in Kettering (nearest Maternity Hospital in 1964) and lived in Corby for the first few years of my life so it's kind of my home town. There are still family members who live down there who I see every now and then.
I always look for their results and have them as one of "my teams"

good to hear, do they ever go to games? similarly I was technically born in Kettering due to the same no hospital in Corby reason. In a previous life I have been a Corby Town mascot (twice) ball boy, long time season ticket holder and my now estranged father was the programme seller and in charge of the Corby Town FC supporters club darts team, if that is not a claim to fame then I don't know what is.

I harboured dreams of being involved in the club in some capacity but have sleeved those ideas now due to having an actual career instead these days.

I'm not sure BmB but the surname is Byrne (my dads, sisters' family).
The reason we moved away was because Dad was asked to head up things as Shop Floor Manager for a company called York Trailers when they opened a factory in Northallerton so he headed up and we followed soon after.
I think I need to come down and attend a game, I enjoy "lower league" football and have never seen Corby play.

U21s in action vs Villa tonight:

Kuszczak, Iorfa, Matinyadze, Hause, O'Hanlon, Weeks, Torras, Bancessi, Keita, Reid, McAlinden.

U21's lost 1-0 in the cup against Villa, Hause and Iorfa played well according to the report. I'd like to see both involved for Batth and the hapless Doherty.

Not sure what age group it is but Wolves play Rotherham in the youth fa cup this evening at the New York Stadium, I was due to go down after work however I am off with the flu so won't make it now. Would have been interested in seeing what talent we had at that age group. Having done some stuff with Rotherham in the past I was never that impressed with their youth setup, although they did have one or two really good players.

u18s mate. I'd imagine that Hunte and anyone else in the u21s eligible will play. Good opportunity for us to get through I think.
