The thing is, with all of the big money signings at Citeh is it really the best place to work if your objective is to bring through youth players? All of the ones who do show any promise seem to be farmed out on loan very quickly.

Man City lost on penalties in the semi final of the Under 21 Premier League last season. Chelsea, who beat them on penalties, went on to win it.

Sellars will be aware of the talents of players such as Emyr Huws and could be influential in signing City youth players.

Not sure how much involvement he had with the under 18s, but they won the northern league and lost in the final to Everton.

Sellars also avoided jail last year after he fell asleep whilst driving his car and hit someone and they died. Got a 6 months suspended sentence and 2 year driving ban.

Looks like Scott Sellars could be the beneficiary of Wolves not informing their kit sponsors that they've moved on two Managers.

“Scott will bring in a high level of expertise in youth development. During his time with Sheffield United, he brought through players such as Matt Lowton, Kyle Naughton and Kyle Walker.

“He also picked up some first-team experience in his role as assistant manager at Chesterfield and has been working at Manchester City for many years.

“Rob will be well known to Wolves fans as a former player and everyone will know what sort of character he is. He’s a really good guy who’s just starting his coaching career.

"But he has already proved, with his work here with our Under-15s and Under-16s, and at Manchester City, that he’s going to be an outstanding coach.

Sellars seems an excellent addition to me, mentioned it in the grass roots section but last season I was actually assisting at a non league club's youth team where Chris Sellars (Scott's brother) was manager, brilliant coach he was and he used to tell me a bit about what Scott was up to at City, also got the session notes from a workshop that he did for the Sheffield Coaches association, will see if I can dig them out and stick them up.

Good to see Cassidy score as that will help his confidence. I'm surprised that Forde was played as I doubt we'll ever see him in a Wolves shirt again.

Forde has had plenty of time to impress Jackett, which he hasn't, so time for him to move on.

If he's still in the U21 squad though then he's not Jackett's immediate concern is he, this new U21 then might get chance to mould Forde into a different type of player, one which could then appeal to Jackett.
