Wolves Academy Thread

Tim Nash ‏@TimNash_star 14m
KJ and one of his sons, Joe Gallen and Kevin Thelwell. Ex- #Wolves academy chief Chris Evans, John Rudge, John Deehan among the scouts here.

Reckord injured. Replaced after 31 minutes

Doesn't sound serious. Nash saying he picked up a knock earlier in the game

What happened to those trialists we had the other week at Chasetown I think it was, have we signed any of them? I remember one was called Eusebio who some said played really well

not according to what I have been told recently. If they are representing a club and that club has asked for access for that person then thats it.

I assume Evans is scouting for someone or other on a freelance basis.

Not a great career move to permanently align yourself with Megson.

Yeah, 99% of the time that is the case. However I know of scouts that have been refused entry because of admin cock ups. Never at a reserve game though. All tickets have the scouts name on too so it's not like it's a surprise when they turn up.

The problem with refusing entry is it bites the refusing club harder.

Apparently Kenny Jackett told RJ he is more than welcome to play for the U21 team but he "didn't fancy it". It's not often I hate a Wolves player, but I make a special case for this fucking cretinous drunkard. At least, with respect to O'Hara and Ward, they make themselves available whether they intend to try and change Jackett's mind or simply hope scouts are there.

Does O'Hara deserve credit for wanting to play for the under-21s last night? Or is that exactly what he's paid to do? #Wwfc

Ward had a knee injury. Wondering why Roger Johnson didn't fancy it? Boss says door is open for him to do likewise #Wwfc

Under-18s won 6-1 at Leicester this morning with goals from Keita (3), Weeks, Smith and an own goal.

Any stand out players? personally I'd have the youth team lose every game if someone said we'd get another Keane or Lescott.
