Wolves Academy Thread

I wonder if Foley's presence in that team as opposed to Edwards getting minutes is any indicator for Saturday.

A large number of players with senior experience will be involved in tonight’s Under-21 fixture with Reading at Telford’s New Bucks Head (7pm).
Aaron McCarey, Kevin Foley, George Elokobi, Ethan Ebanks-Landell, Anthony Forde, Lee Evans, Jake Cassidy, Liam McAlinden and Zeli Ismail are all among the squad taking on the Royals.
Under the rules of the competition teams can field three over-age players as well as a goalkeeper.
Admission tonight is free for Wolves’ Season Ticket Holders, £5 for adults, £1 for Under-16s and £3 for other concessions.
SQUAD: McCarey, Foley, Ihiekwe, Ebanks-Landell, Elokobi, Forde, O’Hara, Evans, Ismail, McAlinden, Cassidy. SUBS: Flatt, Bancessi, Kostrna, Cranston, Whittall.

Even with O'Hara in it that team should do well.

Would be interested to hear how O'Hara does, hopefully with the loan window open he will put in a good performance and get a loan move.

I would think he's only playing because someone else has asked us to play him with a view to a move.

Looks like social media will be calling for O'Hara's inclusion in the 1st team.

He has scored 2, so hopefully someone comes in for him.

fair play to the lad. At least he seems to be trying. I genuinely hope he gets an opportunity to move somewhere and get his shit together etc.

U18s have won 1-0 at Sunderland.

Wolves Under-21s are in action again tonight with their impressive recent run of results facing a tough test against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Midfielder David Edwards is included in the side as an over-age player to build up match fitness after his recent injury in a team otherwise made up from the Development Squad.
Kick off is 7pm.
SQUAD: Flatt, Kostrna, Ihiewke, Tank, Cranston, Bancessi, Jakobsson, Edwards, Parry, Whittall, Moli. SUBS: Dutton, O’Hanlon, Kellerman, Weeks, Keita.

It's 1-1, nicked an equaliser just before half time.

Does anyone have any more information about how well Jakobsson is doing? I'd be interested to hear how hes progressed

My brother went to the game, picked out Kostrna and Cranston as better performers. Reckoned Keita was better than Moli too.

Apparently we had a very good start but they dominated possession mostly. Certainly wasn't our strongest side either!

Do we play with enough numbers in central midfield?

We played Jakobsson, Edwards and Whittall in the middle I think?
