Wolves Academy Thread

Cheers Kenny, sounds promising. Villa tend to have very good youth teams so good to see we were competitive. Were the wingers Collins and Delacoe?

Yep. Offered next to nothing really and Collins just confused at the what he was expected to do

Very interesting reading the reports on last nights u23 match
seems like we have some good players coming through, poss 6 players who may be knocking on the door soon
one who has outgrown this level, and should be making his mark in the 1st team (Bright)
so why did he play last night, which puts him out of contention for tonight .
We desperately need a no. 10 who is a ball player, has a good 1st touch/ball control can slot passes through to the forwards, but we have Edwards !!
is there a communication break down between the coaches , and therefore to PL ?

Bright hasn't played since 14th Feb so will probably of needed the run out to get some match fitness. Only played an hour so might still travel today?

I'd hope he's in contention for the weekend.

I've written off tonight so unless we get absolutely gubbed will just accept the loss and move on to Saturday where I hope Bright, Saiss and Price are the midfield and Cav, Costa and Dicko are the wingers and front man respectively. It would be nice to see Ennis or Wilson on the bench too so we can actually see what they can do and Rotherham should prove a decent defence to start their careers against.

With Willo back in the centre of defence Rotherham is the must win game.

I reckon we'll nick a draw tonight but otherwise I agree with every word of that.

(Is it bad that I read your post with an angry voice as that's how I imagine you typed it? :icon_lol: )

Thanks for the ratings DW (Y).

No Bright or MGW so I assume travelling with the first team squad for tomorrow's game.

Drew 2-2 (having led twice), Armstrong and Duckens.

Has there been any information about if we are replacing Gill, or if people have stepped up?

I noticed Kevin Nicholson is still out of work since he left Cardiff. He is just 30, has his Pro License and has been first team coach and u21s manager. Left when Warnock came in.

Two in two for Nazon now innit? Put him the first team!

Just seen it on Twitter - very good finish. Cross from the right looped over towards him, volley at waist height in to the bottom corner past the keeper.

I think McBurnie is going to be a good striker and wouldn't mind him down here. Big unit with decent feet (6ft+) and an eye for goal.
