Wolves 4-2 Tottenham: Verdict Thread

Tbf they said how good we were at the start but it was inevitable they'd bang on about how bad Spurs were, let's face it they're one of the 'glamour' teams and they were especially bad yesterday, several levels lower than Wolves under GON at their worst.
Nah, we conceded 4 to a fucking Everton team who hadn’t scored for years ffs

First live home game since Burton for me and I fucking loved it. You get a much better idea of how good Andre and Gomes are when you can see everything properly. Pair of them were magnificent.

Thought Spurs were the better side in the first half but never looked like scoring. We had much more of the play in the 2nd and could have scored more. Spurs goals came from nothing really and against the run of play.

Have to say if we'd conceded like Spurs did we'd all be fucking raging on here and rightly so. U16 level stuff. Ange is surely gone in the summer.

We on the other hand, have everything in place to have a very good season next time. Only 2-3 players required and the funds to do it. Looking forward to see how Shi fucks it all up.

Apparently the first time we've gone 5 games with an unchanged starting XI since December 2019.

That line-up:

----------------------Patricio----------------

-----------Dendoncker---Coady----Saiss---------

Doherty--------Moutinho-----Neves-------Jonny

-----------Adama------Raul-----Jota---------------

Strand Larsen is also the first Wolves player to score in 4 successive PL games since Henri Camara in March/April 2004 (he went on to make it 5 games straight - Chelsea A, Southampton H, Man City A, Bolton H and Middlesbrough H)

Aye, the web has globalized slang.

UoT produced some interesting* research that essentially showed immigration patterns to Toronto and London from the Caribbean, Bangladesh and Somalia essentially occurred at the same pace and scale, and that helps to explain a ton of the similarities in slang. Dr. D. Dennis -I think?

*I found it interesting anyways.

Yeah

Nah, that’s genuinely fascinating to me. I was actually just reading up on the dialect of AAVE in Los Angeles and they share a lot of terms with the Gulf regions of Texas and Louisiana, especially New Orleans, for similarly interesting human geography reasons.

(In all seriousness he was much better yesterday, I didn't forget he was playing for one thing)

I don't think he's useless. I'd just never pick him ahead of Matheus Cunha.

If Bellegarde is now injured then it solves that particular issue.

Munetsi is a complete chaos merchant, just creates havoc by his athleticism and lack of footballing ability and technique.

That being said, for some reason I quite like him.

I kind of want André to play in Doherty’s spot next to Nelson, so that the over/under on Aerial Duels won between the two of them is 0.5.

Must be Nelson's stats, I hear that André has never made a headed clearance in his life.
