Wolves 4-2 Tottenham: Verdict Thread

I will add that I don't for one second underestimate Jeff's capacity to fuck all this good work up in the summer...
Jeff will be hoping people have forgot his promise not to hike the season ticket prices up.

Saying that, the “Korean Derby” doesn’t half bring in the clientele Jeff wants to see more of filling Molineux and the clubshop.

What Vitor has done with this previously imbalanced and confused squad has been a real top job so far.

Made us a team again, made us go into every game with a chance again, kept us scoring goals but without leaking like a sieve at the other end. Good to watch but not pushovers

Made some individually inferior players important cogs in the wheel (Doc, Munetsi), and brought the best out of others (Andre, JRB, JSL)

Excited to see how we line up next season if the club do right by him in the summer.

Munetsi....he never stops running, probably more than any player I've seen, sadly he seems to have no capacity to play football. Pretty much through on goal, ahead of the defender and just..ends up on the floor...
What happened there was less lack of coordination and more worryingly lack of useful pace. I was level and had a decent view of this and he was so slow it was Dean Windass esque. He really does never stop running, and he does get in the way usefully with his pressing, but it must contribute to a complete lack of speed when needed. As noted elsewhere, strangely weak when protecting the ball when he does get it too, and doesn’t win many fouls.

Midfield pairing were imperious again. Always found that to be one of the most baffling things about us under O'Neil. We were so easy to play through in the middle. Multiple times a game we'd completely vacate the space in front of the centre backs. Made one of our strongest positions a weakness and I'm still not quite sure how.

Well having just sat down I must say I enjoyed today even though the quality wasn’t very high.
Never seen so many avoidable goals in one game.
I thought we were average at best but still deserved to win. Spurs are a disgrace and Ange is proving to be way out his depth at this level.
Even when we conceded it always looked like we’d get another goal or 2.
MOTM probably give to RAN his goal sets the tone and his work rate on the 3rd goal was pretty pivotal.
Still 6 games left so I’d say we’ve not been in a real relegation battle. Players body language compared to 6 months ago is like night and day.

If you don’t think we’ve been in a real relegation battle you’ve got amnesia!

I think we’re all expecting Cunha to go, then potentially another, and favourite seems to be RAN.

Although a small sample size, without Cunha we’ve looked ok. As in if Cunha goes it doesn’t mean alarm bells were going down.

Amazing what a manager can do to a team ey

All about interpretation if we were having the same conversation 6 weeks ago I’d say we’ve were in a battle. By the end of the season we’ll have finished so far advanced of the side in 18th and been effectively safe for almost 2 months.
A proper relegation battle is going into the final games still in jeopardy that’s been avoided by a mile this season.
