Wolves 2 Barnsley 1 - Never Give Up, Never Surrender!

Which Tim has said this, FFS :icon_lol:

I guess he is expecting him to score goals like he did against Hull every week. Neves is brilliant and is a huge part of our early performances and style.

Miranda was excellent on Saturday.

Neves had a few misplaced passes in the first half and overall I felt he was too deep and didn't impose himself on the game like we know he can but was he really that bad?

He still played some absolutely exquisite long passes, was involved in most of our best moves and had a good shot from distance well saved. He was the better CM out of him & Saiss on Saturday IMO.

He was 6/10 on Saturday and I'd have given Saiss the same kind of mark if I didn't have to dock him a point for getting booked for being an absolute clownshoe, which I thought he'd wiped out of his game but obviously not. You could see that coming from the second he gave the ball away.

Neither were terrible but both were well below what they are capable of. Although as I said earlier, in the first 45 minutes everything was breaking down with the wingbacks.

Yeah I thought the same. Neves wasn't bad but he's influenced games far more than he did on Saturday. To say he's not justifying his price tag is a bit OTT though.

Just before the thread dies, can I point out what a shambles of an award of a free kick it was that led to the equaliser? It didn't look like much at the time and on the replay, by Christ there's nothing there. He just falls over. That doesn't excuse the way we defended it of course.

He made some ridiculous decisions on Saturday. Letting Jota run through when he was a clear 5 yards offside, not giving the Batth penalty and not giving them a corner after it clearly came off our player. Terrible ref. Again.

Timmy going OTT? I refuse to believe it

I had a smattering of info on Saturday thanks to 5 Live. Whoever was covering our game told me the winner was scored by Danny Batth!

Batth - N'Diaye. Easy mistake to make.

The corner was a shocker because Saiss even put his hands to his head and looked up to the skies as if to say 'FFS' that alone should've helped the ref make his decision.

Five minutes earlier Barnsley were given a corner on the opposite side which was clear as day a goal kick :icon_lol:

The Barnsley one was right in front of me. It was so obvious it was ridiculous that the linesman didn't give the goal kick.

Saying that, I still feel we got the rub of the green as Danny's challenge looked a cast iron Barnsley penalty to me.

Yep, Batth's was a penalty. Just barged right into him. Completely needless as well as there was no danger at all, just Batth being a clumsy fuck.

It was a shocking decision - happened right in front of where I was sitting and it was clearly a dive! But every cloud has a silver lining as the "Gerrit Forward" gobshite in front of me left immediately when they scored with a mouthful of profanities at our team! Just as well because after the two substitutions he repeatedly called both Bright Enobakhare and Alfred N'Diaye "The Fridge" which was in danger of getting me into trouble. Idiot.

Surprisingly, I only heard 1 'gerrit forward' all game, most sat near me were very patient, hardly any tuts either

My man (referenced in my article) against Bristol Rovers was a "get in the box" kind of guy. As in, he said it about 100 times in the two hours of play. Fucking penis.

Fortunately everyone who sits near me in my regular seat appears to be fairly normal although they do mostly all leave on around 80 minutes.

The most positive bloke in the World turns into the most negative bloke in the World just as everything at Wolves turns from negative to positive. Confused!
