Wolves 2 Barnsley 1 - Never Give Up, Never Surrender!

Another one that doesn't leave early. Saturday was the worst I've known it for people moving around. 4 blokes turned up 10 minutes after the start, then one of em went out on 30 mins for 5 minutes, they went out 5 before half time, and were late back again.....obviously they left before the winner.
Some years ago we were there, I think it was against Sheff Utd, 2-0 down (Blake?) at full time, De Wolf scores a pen on 91 mins, Emblen mugged their keeper and nodded us level on about 95......ground was half empty

I remember that, I think we were rubbish all game as well

The Millwall game for me - the people on my row were constantly up and down throughout the first half back and forwards to the toilets after arriving late, I was sick to death of having to keep standing up for them

I don't understand people that leave early to ' avoid the traffic '. I'd rather stay until the end and sit in me seat afterwards until the crowds dispersed a bit than leave early. Never ever have I, or would I leave before that final whistle blows.

Come to the South Bank...You'll be stood up anyway ;)

The only time I leave early is when the girls get bored or cold (which happens more often than not with the youngest), but I'm persevering with them. I want them to love going as much as I do, if that means I've got to sacrifice five minutes per game it's worth it.

Ok that's different if you have kiddy winks with you that are cold, bored, need a wee, or just want to be home. For other people that just want a quick get away before everyone else, I don't get it.

The day I learned my lesson, although I did leave the Albion game at 1-4

Baywatch used to be on at 5.25 on a Saturday. There's a possible 90s motivating factor.

With my first full season ticket I am in the Billy Wright, the people around me aren't too bad. No "gerrit forward types" although the guy on my right must be a relative of Deutsch. He spends most of the game complaining about how useless Docherty is, on Saturday he had some justification. He also walke out in disgust when Bristol City went 3-2 ahead but he did stay till the end of the game on Saturday.

In my defence I don't normally bawl him out at the game (Leeds at home last season was an exception because that was disgraceful), I'll save that for the pub after and my tens of readers a day or so later.

I did used to call Olofinjana all the names under the sun when I sat in the Billy Wright. Most of them deserved. I was an angry young man then though.

Very occasionally if I've got to get back quick I'll leave on the injury time board. But I'll stand in the concourse and watch the end of the game.
