Wolves 2 - 0 Aston Villa: May we never take this nosebleed for granted.

No just my thoughts mate, get what you mean but I would play both.

If Wily is fit, then he must be on the bench, at least, on Saturday instead of Bennett.

Wouldn't expect Bennett to be here after the Jan window - not really needed

We have 5 ahead of him & Saiss can play there if there's a real emergency

I would rather we had Ronan on the bench instead of Marshall on Saturday as well, as I think Marshall has looked lost when he's come on. The shot he skied against Villa when Jota was free in the area was a diabolical decision and I think he should be moved on in January, IMO.

That interview is why British football can never succeed.

British players are 'solid' foriegn players are 'flair' why is it so fucking binary?

I was going to make a Mega Man joke here but I'm just not clever enough.

Langer's. Doherty at wing back is about 80% better than Doherty at full back. He is OK to decent in this system He was a poor to average full back. He is one that benefits massively from the change of style and formation. His absence from the roi team confirms this In my opinion.

Excuse me Mrs Doubtfire but I think you'll find our lot (as in the management and players) have played it down if anything. Rattled. Wind your $#@!ing ample neck in.

I would happily put 100 quid on wolves finishing above villa today. They need to improve dramatically, we need to capitulate dramatically based on last weeks showing. As clear a stuffing I have not seen this century. They were almost lucky to get nil. If we had scored four it would have been fair especially second half.

But as Dan says, there has been no "faff". We have quietly moved on to the next game. Unlike the worst author in literary history.

Albion are rattled too. They had kind of forgotten us and felt they had long since left us behind. Now a lot of them are feeling that it's only a matter of time before we catch them and maybe overtake them too. I fucking love Fosun!

Sorry. Have you ever read anything by William McGonagall? Oh silvery bridge o the river Tay an accident that will be remembered for many a long day. Bruce isbad but unfortunately there are worse lol

Proper rattled him didn't we.

More from Bruce. We should play more kids instead of these 'forrun' OAPs...

“Wolves’ team last week was 80 per-cent foreign. In the Championship,” Bruce said.

Hmm. For ever and a day, Irish players have not been considered foreign in the domestic game. The starting 11 last week consisted of 5 domestic players, just under 50%. 8 of the 18 in the match day squad were domestic players, I have excluded Bright Enobakhare from "domestic" despite the fact that all his football development has been at Wolves. So about 55% of the matchday squad from foreign...hardly 80%.

“With Josh and Sam, Keinan and O’Hare and people like that, we have showed (they are good enough).”

Although not good enough to beat Wolves. So maybe not quite good enough.

Timmy II responds to Brucey...

Number of players who've been through club's academy/U23 system in matchday 18 the weekend Wolves - 4 Villa - 2

Timmy drops the mic..

Good work Timothy.

Does Brucie Bruce realise that one of our best young players is currently playing and scoring for England in a World Cup? You'd think as a strong advocate of youth development* he'd be well up on that tournament.

*Amazingly he has not actually shown this at any of the clubs where he has worked, despite being a manager for nearly 20 years. He thought so highly of Keinan Davis at the start of the season that Gabby Agbonlahor was a regular in his teams before he got injured

Picks up Mic...

Average age of starting XI at the weekend Wolves - 24.9 Villa - 28.6

Drops it again. Timmy is on fire

Just noticed that Bruce mentions "Josh and Sam" in his list of young players that he has heroically developed. I assume he means Onomah and Johnstone. So...they're Spurs and Man Utd's players respectively and you signed them on loan, presumably on decent money that other Championship clubs can't afford, blocking your own youth products in the process. Well done Steve.

Bruce being delusional - really can't believe that - or maybe I can as he clearly thought he was an author :)

(time for another laugh as someone puts up a chunk of his prose/plotlines :icon_lol:)
