Wolves 1-1 Everton: Verdict Thread

I'm not. He's a disaster of a transfer.
It’s so strange, spoke to a few Burnley fans when we signed him and they were very much of the opinion he’s use wolves as a stepping stone and be playing top 4/6 in next couple of years.

Maybe they meant championship..

There's a decent player in Collins, his confidence is just shot currently.

Would like to give Hwang a special mention today too: he has a real knack of being in the right place at the right time (most of his goals for us have come about this way) and he ran himself into the ground before he came off. I'm absolutely not averse to him being here next season, he has been reborn under JL's way of playing.
To be fair to him not many would’ve kept the run going when traore set off. So agreed fair play to him

We had that one bloke post when we signed Collins saying he was the next VVD.

He works hard and, with a run in the team, is probably 7-10 goals a season. I'm not saying he's going to answer our goalscoring woes but I think he's capable of a half decent return.

All of this does rely on us getting a "proper" number 9 that the likes of him and Cunha can play off. And that's a huge if.

Think I've said it before but if Hwang stays (with an eye to actually playing) it does need to be in that central, Cunha-esque role.

I'm not sure Lop will ever play a 4-3-1-2 style formation though, to give us two central forwards and a No.10.

According to PTS Moutinho and Jonny both decided to not attend today's game. I think both of them misunderstood the mood if that's true and both missed out on a decent farewell, which they may or may not have cared about

That's such a strange decision, unless it's basically sulking at the situation. But even then you'd think after so long here and receiving such unwavering support individually through the ups and downs that they'd have wanted to share a farewell

His confidence is absolutely shot, I don't know what the answer is, maybe a year in the Championship? I'm convinced he's a better player than the one we are seeing
Ignoring small cameos off the bench this was actually the first time I have seen Collins play in person. It's a real shame as like you I think there is a better player in there, I was very enthused by the signing of him and thought it was a smart decsion to buy him from Burnley.

Everton aren't exactly a team who press you much, and they didn't even have a striker on for a lot of the game (Michael Keane up front and he still looked nervous!). Perhaps you're right about a loan as I'm struggling to see how his confidence improves rotating with Kilman or having brief cameos, and that's before (hopefully) a new CB comes in.

Think I'm calling bullshit on this one. Lopetegui already fumbled the bag with Raul and didn't want to admit he'd snubbed two other fantastic parts of our recent history.

I'm not having that a professional like João has refused to be in a squad.

The 3 minutes against Villa was way short, can't get upset about today's 9. We conceded because of our own error

I’m not upset so much about this game but surely changing the rules at the end of the season is a shit move? Everton might survive because they got loads of extra time today that another rival didn’t have in a similar 1 goal situation earlier in the season.

I can't imagine Moutinho saying no either.

But I don't know him personally 😂
