Wolves 1-1 Everton: Verdict Thread

At least I won't forget over the summer how dreadful David Coote is.

Nothing game, we will rarely put games to bed against poor opposition because we don't have a goalscorer, which leaves you open to that sucker punch. Doesn't matter in the end. Blatantly obvious where we need to focus our attentions.

We got good Adama for one last time and João Gomes will be the heartbeat of our team next season.

Absolutely fuck Sean Dyche and his non-football. He's turning into a parody of himself. If Everton scrape survival then they'll be bottom five again next year, guaranteed.

I agree with the original sentiment of the tweet. I think it was really poor form to send Costa on instead of Raul.

THE best centre forward I've seen at wolves. Possibly ever.
He's admitted that, but it's a poor excuse. He had a choice of 2 lampposts, he picked the wrong one.

Shouldn't have even been a choice though? A bloke whos our record pl goalscorer or a bloke who's scored one goal and it was a tackle.

Raul deserved a proper send off and he didn't get it, as you can tell I'm pissed off about it.

The previous era ended for me when Nuno went. That was the end of that cycle. Then we got one of the three worst managers we've had in 35 years to firmly bury it.

No issues with the time added on for me. Everything else about Coote's performance was dreadful. A particular highlight being him getting in the way of Neves in possession, stopping the game (correctly) then handing Everton the ball. Moon faced idiot.

Our Italian friend has been hitting the Italian reefer methinks. 😂

Lop said Moutinho chose not to be a part of it which was odd.

I wonder if he has a signed a pre-agreed deal elsewhere - MLS maybe? Would make sense on not wanting to get injured.

Don’t get my hopes up!

The actual time added on seemed fine, but in the game itself there was quite a few bad decisions. Typical Coote I suppose.

Traore was actually quite good for once, although I very much hope that is solely a good performance to sign things off and not something which changes the mind of anyone in the club to keep him! Gomes looks really good, and Lemina was solid coming on. Podence - bad. Bentley doesn't inspire confidence. Also have to say, I was genuinely quite surprised at just how poor Collins was! No composure at all, can't control the ball and even his kicking is bad. Looked like Danny Batth.

We did have some chances especially towards the end, having a striker who could run would have really let us get at Everton.

41 points after being bottom at Christmas is a very good return, I fully expected this to be a relegation six pointer as late as Forest away. Lopetegui and the players have done well. Hopefully we see a revamped team and some new players at Molineux for next season.

Ha, would make sense as he can move overseas and play straight away. Lop made allusions to him 'thinking about his future' so it wouldn't surprise me.

His confidence is absolutely shot, I don't know what the answer is, maybe a year in the Championship? I'm convinced he's a better player than the one we are seeing

I thought he was alright today, not great but didn’t make the gaffe we’ve come to expect from him/Kilman each game.

He also didn’t have any outward “oh woe is me” moments which always pissed me off.

There's a decent player in Collins, his confidence is just shot currently.

Would like to give Hwang a special mention today too: he has a real knack of being in the right place at the right time (most of his goals for us have come about this way) and he ran himself into the ground before he came off. I'm absolutely not averse to him being here next season, he has been reborn under JL's way of playing.
