Wolves 1-0 Burnley: Verdict Thread

Obviously watched game via Amazon but would have thought Burnley were sending the match out live themselves as was so biased. Don't start me on the female contribution !!!
A win is win even though we played poorly. Always start so slow and don;t press too much. Thought first half especially, Lemina was playing too deep leaving massive gap in midfield. Thought Kilman had one of his best days and Bentley did well too.
We must be prepared for Notts F to come at us fast and furious and to prevent them scoring too early.
Not sure the ‘female contribution’ was any worse than the male to be honest.

Yeah I agree, I like Doyle, but I felt Traore was the right sub and could have been made earlier.

On the whole I think GON got his subs right last night, I don't think Fabio or Sasa would have improved things for us.

Kilman MOTM for me, with Dawson and Toti close behind, Semedo was good too, it was a very solid back 6 performance in fact.

Sarabia was best of the rest and got better the game went on.

Another assist for Cunha, his goal involvements have really improved.
Sarabia is going to be one of those players that just flits in and out of games. Obviously very skillful. Will be more suited to the run of fixtures we have coming up where we will have more of the ball and not be so counter attacking

Not rating a particular female pundit makes you a misogynist does it?

By that logic I must be a misandrist, because I think a lot of male pundits are fucking useless.
It’s more the ‘woman contribution’ I’d imagine.

You would never say ‘the male contribution’ in relation to any comms. If you say ‘comms were wank, especially X, they were awful, then there’s not an issue if there.

I’d imagine the comment is just poorly worded.

Saying I don't like Courtney Sweetman-Kirk on comms - all good.

Saying I don't like the female on comms - not so good
I guess if you don’t know the lady’s name on comms and say to the effect it’s isn’t rate the woman on comms’ then it isn’t necessarily misogynistic. It’s more the tone of ‘don’t get me started on the female contribution’ it reads very deliberate

Totally agree on the final sentence. On the first bit, it isn't too hard to find out a commentators name. Took me all of 30 secs to check it was CSK as I thought.

I know I'm your favourite poster to come at, but just for once can you not make it complete bollocks please? X

Had to watch at home as pulled something in my back a couple of hours before kick off and I had as much chance of reaching the top of the North Bank as Matt Doherty has of being cast in a Head & Shoulders advert.

We didn't play very well but it was much like our defeats to Palace/Fulham/Sheff Utd in reverse; Burnley made a bad error, got punished for it and ended up losing. Important that we ended up on the right side of one of them and we can definitively park any talk of getting sucked into a relegation battle for a while now, that gap is massive.

Hwang took his goal excellently, that little delay completely did the keeper and defender. You're never going to get amazingly rounded general play from him but so long as he scores, that's the main thing. Saw a stat earlier that only Salah has more home goals in the PL this season.

Bentley's double save was very good indeed.

On to the next one.

Beat Forest on Saturday as I expect and we can park relegation talk all together

Perhaps he doesn't know her name. It's a way of differentiating.

I've never heard of Sweetman Kirk. I'd have had no idea who he was talking about. "The female" or "woman" clearly defined who the comment was directed at.

I think you're looking for a reason to be offended, is my take.

I'd love to know when Neto is back . He clearly is the spark that will get us moving again , the player to create chaos amongst the opposition , to do something they don't expect .
The problem with last might was that when can only score 1 goal and are passive for the most part , then the chance of the opposition ( and they wouldn't even have to be good ) of drawing or beating us is far greater than it should be .

Great to see Kilman slowing improving and imposing himself more . Good to see Bentley have a good outing as well , Sarabia as well . We'll need a good few of those lads for the rest of the month and perhaps further on .

It's great to win ugly though - something we're not great at . Onwards and upwards .
