Wolves 0-3 Brighton: Verdict Thread

Just watched it again. Jonny was abysmal when he came on and was barely trying. Maybe just coincidence but the fact he was dropped despite being one of our best players recently, didn’t appear to be trying and there was rumours of a bust up…

Could have just been a bad day at the office though.

it seemed strange that he was dropped after playing really well and scoring in 2 previous matches. the alledged bust up makes sense.

Lage saying fans should boo the players too, whatever has happened something isn't aligned on the playing side at the very least.

Best thing to do imho is remove that and unfortunately it's Bruno. From now on will only do more damage if it continues.

I can accept us playing bad or being outclassed by a good team but I can't accept the lack of effort a lot of the lads showed yesterday it was very unprofessional.

That was worse than Palace the other month as bad as Burnley during lockdown

His 'defending' against Bissouma on the 3rd is a joke, shows him into his stronger foot and then gives up.

I'll have to watch that again as didn't notice at the time. At the game I saw Saiss do a needless superman header for that goal and then everyone watch

Save yourself the time, it'll only annoy you.

Yeah Jonny’s attitude was noticeable from watching at the time yesterday, my brother was fuming. Strange for someone so reliable in their performance so does seem to suggest that rumour may be true

Jonny is my favourite player, love the guy, his attitude has always seemed bullet proof, so I'm disappointed if he (or any player) doesn't give 100%. Don't care if they've had a spat with the manager or anyone else, fans deserve more.

Jonny was so slow yesterday my lad and I were convinced he must be carrying an injury which also explained why he didn’t start. Maybe not, and given his normal level of performance for him to drop off a cliff like that suggests it must have been some row!

It's just so bloody annoying that we haven't put any pressure on West ham at all.

They can concentrate on the semi and also know they'll quality through the pl again next year anyway.

He was allegedly at Manchester Airport this morning so I don't think he has got them in for training today.
Unless Neves is practising his free-kicks at Thomas Land I think you might be right.

Worryingly large number of fans on social media still wanting Bruno to be backed in the summer so he can “go again” next season. Actually, considering Twitter tends to be the place where the most BS is spouted, this forum is definitely more anti-Bruno than on there, unless I’m following the wrong people.

I want him gone. Our form is rancid and I’m extremely worried about next season. With the top three still to play, I wouldn’t be surprised to see us finish 9th or 10th.

Not exclusively, but broadly the WM post match phone in was still give him the players he needs etc. Daz Hale called Hwang a League One player. Bill Turley who is as Wolves as you can get, wants him out though

I just don't get that, there's been nothing like enough evidence that he'd put together a team that's worth watching, the football is tripe and we absolutely do not need to play like we have for 80%+ of the season, we actively choose to. Well, he does. How many managers have ever lost 7 out of 10 games - this will almost certainly end with 10 or 11 out of 14 - then been handed a massive budget? I'd guess as good as none, because that's atrocious form. Not like we've really been unlucky either, Leeds maybe with the ridiculous red card, but it's as much the manager doing nothing to react that cost us the points. We return to crap old tired arguments about the mythical first three games (which weren't that good) and "we're 8th".

Also he fucking signed Hwang.

As our poll currently reads Sack Him 43-0 Keep Him, yes, we're more anti-Lage than most places :D With good cause.

I've seen all sorts of excuses for him on social media. I even saw one person blame Nuno on Twitter saying he'd let the players get too comfortable and now Bruno is challenging them they don't like it. 🤣 it can be a wild place Twitter and for some reason I've started seeing posts from people I don't even follow "based on your likes" but maybe it's an insight into the general consensus. Had a quick glance at another forum earlier and the poll on there was closer to 50 50

Been wondering - do we really have to sign Hwang?

Say Bruno does leave, before the end of the season or at the very end. I know we've announced that we intend to activate the clause in Hwang's loan deal to buy him, but until said clause is actually activated... is there actually any reason why we couldn't change our minds, citing a change in manager/transfer policy/whatever?

I've been very supportive of him this season, giving him the benefit of the doubt in many instances. I think the debate on here has been great from all perspectives, but it seems to be aligning now, even contrary buggers like me can't rationalise performances like yesterday.

It was a proper shocker in a game he and the team should have been up for. The only real reason for keeping him is fear of the alternative.
