Aye
Last season we would have at least got the 00.I think I was more depressed last night than I was at any time last season. Last season I expected to get depressed game by game, but the expectation following our takeover gave me hope and that is being crushed again. Our cup wins have papered over the cracks and Lambert has a massive job on his hands to convince us that he can put things right. Having said that, we must give him at least three full seasons. It's just the agony of knowing we will be stuck in The Division From Hell as ALOB called it, for years to come. But Paul, please, please, please, prove me wrong !
We have notched up plenty more positives this season than last - unfortunately we're very inconsistent and those who I would hope are playing for their places next season haven't done their prospects any favours at all over the past 2 weeks.
It's a shame that our good run is so quickly forgotten, as are the superb performances we saw throughout January.
I think it shows what a huge job Lambert has on his hands and once the cup run is over and we've picked up enough points to not have to worry about a relegation battle (I think we'll be fine and will put enough points on the board over the coming weeks) I hope he's ruthless with the squad.

I don't think you can say a manager should be given a set minimum period
Few disagreed with Zenga going after 15 games which 'should' be too soon, but it wasn't as he was clearly out of his depth. Saunders only had 5 months, but that was more than enough. If Lambert takes us down (I don't think he will, but certainly wouldn't discount it), he will be rightly sacked in May. Assuming we stay up, I doubt he'd still be here this time next year if we were in the same position playing the same awful anti football. You need to see gradual progress and development not just wait for an arbitrary period of time to elapse before making a judgement.
Sorry but I don't think it's as desperate as that and to dismiss our positive results and performances as mere false dawns is a bit disrespectful. The Liverpool game for example is one of the best overall displays I've ever seen from a Wolves team. It'd be wrong to dismiss that so nonchalantly.Really?
I think the positives have proved to be false dawns so far. Look at the team
Ikeme Doherty Coady Edwards Stearman Batth were all singled out for replacement last year. Stearman was sold and bought back! We sold Afobe and Griffiths and effectively didnt replace them. Costa is a bright point but teams have worked out stop Costa stop wolves. This seasons home form is the worst I can remember. The last time we lost 8 home games we were relegated with 9. There is still time. We have work to do to EQUAL that appalling record of 7-7-9. We are in an appalling mess and the squad and style of play are neither good enough or capable enough. Massive 3 months ahead,

It's important we get results on the board quickly and I hope that no matter what happens in the cup game, we're fully focused on the run in. The majority of the squad should be treating these games as a prolonged trial to show the manager that they should be part of his plans next season. Too many have fluffed their lines over the past 10 days.
Nah sorry - that's kneejerk negative nonsense. It's not fair to just dismiss the high points of the season like that.As often is the case you miss the point. How many Liverpool games have we had this season? Them Stoke Newcastle blues and maybe one or two last season. How many Wigan x2 Cardiff,Burton,Barnsley at home, Derby first half, QPR at home, Leeds at home. The latter list is much much longer. Our stock performance is not good. If everyone has a good day we have a Liverpool. If one or two don't we have a Burton. Same team! The Liverpool result was an exception and as a counter attacking side we are better more often when in front. Hence why our home form is shit partially at least. There is no disrespect! Even a broken fucking clock gets it right twice a day!

Obviously we need to improve in all areas of the pitch and we have to be more consistent and stop so many awful performances but you're making out that it's all bad with no redeeming features and that's just hyperbole.
The players need to step up and play their way into Lambert's plans for next season. It frustrates me that too many players aren't grasping that opportunity.
Have I ever disagreed with the fact we've been abysmal in many games this season? Please can you send me your rose tinted spectacles. Happy to pay postage.
If my comments about the games I listed are considered hyperbole by you then I dread to think how easily you can be satisfied by a football teams performance. Those games were all poor performances that contained significant errors or lack of ideas or creativity. Yes there are some bright spots but given where we were supposed to be going this season is pretty awful. Sorry. I just don't see the same wonderful green shoots you obviously do from the likes of Batth Doherty Savile, Iorfa, etc

Have I said I rate Batth, Doherty, Saville et al? (I do rate Iorfa but accept he's a young player whose form has dipped this season).
I'm not disputing the alarming lack of quality in many games this season, nor am I disputing that it's been a pretty crap season overall. What I don't agree with is the glossing over of games/performances when we have played well and that everything is terrible.
