Wolves 0-1 Liverpool: Verdict Thread

I don't think that has anything to do with what the general plan is though. I only saw the first half tbf, they started OK. We don't have an out and out striker in the U23s who can lead the line, and without Corbeanu they don't have much wide threat as Campbell is still only just back from injury.
Yeah, losing Shabani has had an impact on the u23s too, along with Taylor Perry to injury.

Austin Samuels should be that guy but it's just not happening for him.

I wonder what they'll do when Marques is back in the fold, Lonwijk and Richards have both been excellent.

This site is run by volunteers at their own personal cost so let's show a bit of respect yeah?

Access the forum via Incognito tabs. Works 100/100 for me and you only need to log in on the forum then. Its simple.

Had it before using incognito. So have others if you look through the thread you posted in. But thanks any way.

Richards really hasn't been excellent but Lonwijk is growing into the player the staff want him to be. Perry has been replaced by Campbell and Shabani by Corbeanu, both have done admirably well. Cundle looks like a little Neves but has had no support beside him and the wingbacks are pretty average. There's nobody in the set-up bar those listed that you could say were close to any senior football. Our strikers are shockingly poor for that age group.

I think Lonwijk could be the player we want him to be in a few years when he grows into his frame as he has a bit of everything about him.

In that case I'm with you, i can't use an Internet forum, death to visage!!!!1!1

Richards has looked very good to me, he's one of those players you don't notice but when you watch him is very good. Bueno LWB looks decent and Jack Scott has done well at RWB against Sunderland.

Campbell is a forward and Perry plays centre mid. Shabani plays around the 10 position and Corbeanu plays RW.

Agree the strikers are poor, I'm hoping Carty can start to develop (he seems to get bigger every week!) - he bagged a hattrick against WBA so there is hope for him yet.

Lonwijk looks really good, he wasn't great last season but has really come on this year.

Sondegaard needs a loan out somewhere

Yeah I like Richards, he'll be one that goes on to have a decent football league career though I reckon.

Agree on Lonwijk, I think him and Marques are the hopes to make the first team, with Hubner below them in the 18s.

I wanna keep Adama but then he need to sign a new contract, not sure he will, he will be much sharper after a good pre season...we really need depth in our squad with a far better bench too, a creative CM is a priority, maybe even a DM. CB of course and ideally another forward who can compete with Raul

If we can get £30m+ for Traore then I'd sell and reinvest in a proper wide forward who likes to cut inside.

Surely someone will take a punt on him at that price.

yeah of course they will, he has something special that not many other players have in the world..sad for us to lose out though, still young too

He's not young, he's 25, and given his 'style' he'll probably peak at 27. I'd be happy with £25m, he's damaging to how we play. I think Neto has the intelligence to play better football with more movement, Adama most definitely doesn't

I consider 25 young, anyway, not sure he wanna sign a new contract with us

It is in real life, but not in football! What do you think he'll learn in the next 2 years, that he's failed to grasp in the previous decade, involving years at La Masia and with one of Europe's top coaches in the Premier League (and Tony Pullis))?

I think he can learn a lot still, with the right coaching of course

I think Nuno has coached him as far as he can, even he's admitted he doesn't get out of him everything that's in there. This is it, you either love that or you don't

They're not even difficult concepts, "run in behind before the pass is made" isn't too complex, surely. He hasn't got it by now, he never will, and you don't go from scoring five PL goals in five seasons to being prolific.

Fuck Godwin’s Law, this place has the Traore Law.

Maybe youre right, but considering how good he was last season with him and Raul combining, scoring two against City..would like to see him one more season with a proper pre-season...if its still the same then I would sell him to another club

That wouldn't make sense financially. Lets say for the sake of argument he's worth £30m now and has a good but not spectaular season next year then one of 2 things happen. You sell him for £10-£15m or he runs down his contract and leaves for nothing. If he's not prepared to sign a contract / Wolves aren't prepared to pay him what he thinks he's worth then a sale in the Summer is the only sensible option.

Not a problem exclusive to Traore that one though is it? Outside of Jota and the much maligned Doherty there's rarely been much movement in behind under Nuno. Neto isn't great with his movement off the ball either, often stays too wide in places where it's easy to receive but difficult to do any damage.

It does often appear that there is scant amount of coaching done on the attacking side of the game. Same issues constantly being repeated from game to game by all manner of players.

I think Adama needs to forget crossing as a concept except on very special occasions.

Either come inside and leather it at goal as hard as you can or pass into feet.
