Wolves 0-0 Brighton: Verdict Thread

Arguing for the sake of it Johnny? How unexpected...

It's a discussion, I have no idea what your problem is with people discussing this topic.

I have no idea what your problem is with me discussing things on the forum but is there any chance you and Dire can pack in the nonsense.

It's a bit odd that you and Dire want to stifle a poster, why?

I’d say they were the definition of half chances. An individually worked snap shot on the angle, a deflected shot which he stretches for a loopy grader whilst marked. You’d be hard pushed to say he should have done better with any of them.

I thought the header was a very good chance as was his shot and both should've been on target. Donck got both of his on target, one's a good save but the other is straight at the keeper. That's a sitter.

No ones trying to stifle you at all. Do you sometimes feel everyone’s out to get you? Do you assume it’s some kind of conspiracy, probably due to the illuminati?

The shot in the first half is tough though. Literally the only place it goes In is inside the post. Keeper saves it otherwise. Donks is a sitter no doubt. He needs to just smash it into the roof of the net. Side footing it gives Ryan a chance. But he’s a defensive minded player whereas Glenn Murray would have buried it.

His header is another good chance but it’s one where he jsut reacts and tries to get a head on it. The keeper then has all day to read the situation, position himself well and that is why it goes straight at him. Can’t exactly disguise a header like you could a shot

I think you highlight that we miss a goal scoring midfielder. Particularly from the more advanced positions. There were a couple of pull backs from Jota and Doc where MGW. Is caught on his heels instead of getting into that penalty spot position where Foden/ Mount/ Sterling/ Alli would be running to.

I'm guessing but I would think we will address that in the summer and move MGW forward to be Jota's cover or deeper to cover Moutinho.

Far to many fans getting ahead of themselves with the current Wolves squad. Its to early in its evolution to be expecting anymore than a very worthy top ten finish.

Exactly. 3 goals from open play from CM is a bit of a shambles. Particularly when we have played 3 of them for over half a season.

We were made to look very ponderous by a very unambitious side. We spent large passages acting like a crab though I don't think we ever got the space that they afforded the sides that recently spanked them.

They were very compact, we didn't have the guile to pass through them, as others have done very profitably and key players looked off the boil, on another day one of our chances, half or otherwise goes in and all of a sudden its a win we ground out.

ha ha due to a bit of a stomach problem i listened to about half an hour of the second half on the khazi, i suppose that makes me a shit house fan.

Catching up on Goals on Sunday. Gross on Jota in the first half is a penalty. Right through the back of him, nothing of the ball.

Hello pot, meet kettle...

Only saw it live. Looked like he got a big backheel on the Ball.

I was in line with it and thought it was a pen. But then I usually do.

Interesting to see what Brighton would have done if we’d scored it - talk about the entire game plan going out the window...
