I wouldn't consider Van La Parra as any kind of option through the middle.

We'll be into March before we can try it but a front three of VLP-Mason-Zyro has some potential. Until then we could do something really crazy and play Byrne instead of Zyro. Would only work if we genuinely did play 4-3-3 though, not the Panda Pop 4-5-1 imitation.

I didn't have him down as pace being any kind of attribute of his at all. I always thought of him as a player that drops deep, plays in the hole and looks to link play. Perhaps I could be mistaken on exactly what type of player he is.

I think this deal could actually "make or break" KJ's trust with the board/fans over his signings which up until now have been 50/50 - at best.

I'll reserve judgement until we see what Mason can do in a Wolves shirt. I was completely whelmed when we signed Dicko after he did fuck-all during his loan stint and then he proceeded to wow the pants off of me.

We will only be signing Mason in my view If we think we have a decent deal. I don't believe we'd spend a sizeable figure just to appease fans. If the price before was £5m and now it's 3 then perhaps it is viewed that way. Personally it's at least double what I'd pay.

I think he believes he can be a stop gap for the rest of this season and to be fair given what it's become he probably can. This isn't an ITK comment, but there is a story behind Golbourne's fall from grace and it's a lot more than getting done at the back post by Sam Byram

Not at all, but whether it's that he won't ever be fully fit, won't sign a contract or has had a fallout, who wouldn't play him over Doherty? I think the latter has been ok at left back (better than on the other side) and good at Charlton. Unless Kenny is really Pulis lite with all the defence needing to be 6ft 2 or taller then you'd play him wouldn't you?
