Mason is alright, not worth that money but what do you expect when you leave yourself in the position we have.

The Twitter post absolutely stinks of "told you we would spend money" - with their tongue pointing out in a childish manner.

Joe Mason? We've got the whole of the world to find ourselves a striker of a reasonable ability, and all we can do is spend a load on a forward with a bang average record at Championship (and league 1) level?

The club probably feel like they can't win.

It's just a completely underwhelming signing, which pretty much sums up our season.

£3m seems like a lot but I think it's clear we rate him as we have chased him for sometime. Hopefully he can take his game on another level with us, he's not a terrible player

I find the issue at he club is that we won't pay high fees or high wages yet KJ doesn't want players unless they are better than we already have.

I appreciate that 'better than we have' doesn't necessarily be someone on high wages and high fee, but my guess would be that it either has to be someone who is highly rated in the lower division or someone at Championship level or above.

It's all a bit contradictory.

We all wanted a new signing, and it looks like we have one. While I appreciate the club are damned if they do and damned if they don't, I am a little surprised at the price tag for a striker who does not score very often.

it's past news but logically you hold out on the afobe transfer until you've had a fee agreed for a replacement.
we somehow managed to sell him for less than the summer offer (different club I know) in what is meant to be the inflated window. then with money in the bank we go desperately to the inflated market. baffling.

I might be in the minority but I think he is a good player not a No.9 but more of a No.10 which Kenny has been waffling on about all season.

Separate note on Cardiff, I read yesterday that Gabdidon had said Vincent Tan had ordered the defenders to shoot from the half way line.

As he, at this point, is our only fit forward and adding Mason doesn't overload that area you would have to say he has until May....but the way this season is going, who knows.

Going for a player they wanted in the summer? That just screams of going back to what they wanted. Regardless of opinion on the player, this isn't as if they have pulled a name out of hat and gone fuck it, he will do
