As Kenny has kindly initiated polls, hopefully we are good to go. I know there are members who observe rather than post so should give a broad view.

To head off the usual 'ask me when the window closes' comments, you can't have a pre-season poll 3 games into it.

15 to 17 for me, not overly down on Lage but we have regressed in the past 2 seasons in terms of available players and there seems little appetite to change this.

Don’t think it’s going to be dull and if Lage works out we could easily be top 10.

11-14th Bruno removed Zenga style by November

Voted 15-17 as it stands.

If Shi actually backs the manager and signs some players, maybe we could push on to one of the two brackets above.

11th or 12th ish, I think the route were heading we will beat who were expected to beat but I cannot see us replicating our top six results

If we can get the signings right in the next couple of weeks. 12th, but with potential for higher. Hopefully Neto comes back as sharp as ever, and if Jonny can come back strong as well when he does.

A lot depends on the coach, obviously. He’s seen enough to go to a back three for now, so that is encouraging, no reason we can’t play a little bit higher in a 343, and it’s obvious he can actually coach so it comes down to how he sets the team up and how quickly we can adjust to what he is demanding. Some aspects of pre-season have worried me though, so I’m wary but hopeful.

first three games are tough but after that we have a fairly kind run til December. So if he does have a poor start he’ll be under a bit of pressure. Sounds like he is quite well liked by the players though.

11th-14th, best case scenario realistically for me.

Happy to have Raul back: he'll make such a difference, and I hope Bruno gets a couple of players in to help him out too.

I think changing tack for this squad might be a two season job, I think we're in for a couple of batterings but hopefully dish a few out too

This season is probably the most difficult to predict in a long while and I'm usually crap anyway....gone 10th

Voted 11-14.

Seemed like the safest option. I think it's probably likelier that we drop into the 15-17 bracket than replicate our first 2 seasons under Nuno and compete in that 7-10 bracket just below the top 6 though.

I’ve gone for 15-17. This is the most pessimistic I have been going into a new season for a good few years.

Hopefully I will be proved completely wrong, we’ll make a few more good signings and Bruno will prove to be a good manager. However, I fear it is more likely that he won’t still be here come the end of the season ☹️

Could be absolutely anywhere from 5th down to 17th, though lower mid-table mediocrity is the most likely. If we get the set piece defending sorted out, and Neto - Raul - Trincao click, we could do well. If we don't, then we could be a bit of a car crash.

If we spend too long at the bottom end, at least we know Fosun will get rid of Lage sharpish.

Turning into a 'when will Bruno get sacked' thread rather than a 'Where will Wolves finish' thread 😅

15-17th as things stand. Get a couple of the right sort of players in and as high as 11th.

Well maybe that’s because it’s a realistic and significant factor!

Only if you think we're going down... Which no one's voted for.

I think considerations of our recruitment, players returning from injury and the effectiveness of our playing style are more pertinent than the manager's position. At least, while we're still to play a competitive game with him at the helm!

We're not Watford... it may happen he's a car crash but it's only 'realistic and significant' if you're entering the season on a downer?

Too many known unknowns until the window closes, but I've guessed 11th to 14th. This is the first PL season I've felt bearish rather than bullish about our chances, though, and I know I tend to exaggerate prospects, so hopefully this will be the case here and we'll sneak into the top half. Trying to be objective, the squad even as it stands now doesn't look weak enough to be in a relegation scrap.

I'm a bit nervous for this season. Went 15th - 17th.
Lage is up against it with presumably the brief to be more expansive than Nuno was, but with no help from the board in the transfer window (so far) to help him do that, leaving him with what I think is the weakest squad we've had since our return to the Premier League.

Looking back now, i think Nuno's acceptance & yet sadness at leaving us, was due to him knowing the board weren't going to give him the tools to complete the project that was spoken about so much in the early stages of his time with us.
Now Lage is having to pick it up.

I just don't see this ending well. We should stay up and we'll probably end the season with Sellars putting BFS in charge.

God, I hope I'm wrong.
I do think, if given support in the market, Lage has enough about him to get us comfortably 7th -14th, and nowhere near relegation.

We have Raul, Neto, Neves, Traore and hopefully Podence and Trincao are going to deliver too.

We really shouldn’t be finishing below 14th unless we have signed the Zenga/Saunders hybrid.
