Where will we finish 2019/20 Version 2

Where we will Wolves finish

At the risk of creating some ire I have an observation or three.

1. We play the same way home and away with pretty much the same players so there is no advantage for us at home. That's why bus parkers or those who work out our system get at least a point from us.
2. We have zero cover for Raul. That needs sorting. A decent hold up centre forward coming to the end of his career but worth 20 sub appearances, cup cover and 8 goals. Giroud on less wages. I am sure that person exists and they need buying.
3. Doherty replacement. We must upgrade him, bless and probably Saiss too.
Podence has a brain. He is looking to create things. Ok he is Hazard light but we have looked better with him on the pitch rather than off.
I think it's important that we do progress and keep challenging and that means Europe. I completely agree that it attracts better players. We have some serious connections and used them to build this squad. There was some hard sell . So far it's delivered. But these are now name players and can get poached if we regress. Twas ever thus.

Not much to cause ire there, most people would agree with most of that I would have thought, only thing I would question is the hasbeen forward, would prefer a young up and comer

I can’t see a young centre forward being happy as Raul understudy

If we're looking to play 60 games we can give the youngster 10-15 starts and a further 20-25 sub appearances next season. That's plenty of time for a developing talent to keep improving and still feel a part of a first team squad

Quite possibly the person who'll have the biggest bearing on where we finish is Daniela Basso...

It's fun though. Can't I play with him for a bit longer?

Soz had plans last night......you know like normal people not those who spend their whole days on internet forums or playing computer games...….sad fuck

Right. That's the last line on the love in.

Want a chat do it by via PM from this point on. No need to respond to this. Next post on this thread will be about the subject title or its closed.

I haven't voted on the poll, because I genuinely have no idea. My skillz (lolz) in the prediction league confirm this.

Did I think CL was a possibility? Sure I did. We're a very very good team the vast majority of the time. I did not expect those 2 defeats on the bounce though. Had we not had them, no doubt that chatter would still be going on.

Beat Palace, and we have to be moving the pressure onto others and away from us.

It is definitely the most exciting time ever for being a wolves fan!

I still can't call where we will finish.

yes, i think a talented younger player is fine with just that..a player in his prime wanna be first choice

Sporting Index still has us finishing 6th - by a point from Spurs and 2 points from Sheffield United. But that's out of the window if we don't beat Palace...

If we finish 7th we will be in Europe so the only way we aren't is if we finish lower down the league. Arsenal are not beating City at the weekend, they collapse against them every time
Knowledgable as always

Yeah, nothing really going our way atm.

4 points takes Sheff Utd out of it, more than achievable. Don’t get that then we don’t really deserve it anyway.

Then just pray for Spurs not to win tomorrow and that’s them taken care of.

Think the qualifiers is something we need to be happy with.

Next 48 hours will be massive just cannot emphasise how much that Penalty may cost us,

Shit happens. Now we must beat palace chelsea olympiakos Seville Zroma Man United and inter Milan. Could do that too!

Yep, and the more you watch it the more it is preventable in about a dozen different ways.

Just did a table prediction predicting the remaining games and sorry to say it had us finishing 8th on 59 points with Arsenal pipping us to 7th (Spurs 6th) on goal difference (by 2 goals). Think thats how close it'll be!

I think most of us can agree it's going to need 6 points for 6th. A Chelsea win on Wednesday would be a big help for when we play them.

7th for EL is looking more insecure than it has since before lockdown. First with City getting off and then Arsenal winning. Last year the Cup Final was an exercise in waiting for the inevitable, this year if we are in the same position it would be nervy. Chelsea are a better side than Arsenal on their day, but are inconsistent

Just did another prediction thing (updated after yesterdays results) and its still getting us finish 8th but this time losing out to Arsenal on goals scored not even goal difference.

Could really do with Villa doing us (and themselves the useless bastards) a favour tonight.

Saying that I'd much rather Wolves just prove me wrong and go and get something at Chelsea.

If we do get the Europa place where we have to qualify does qualifying start before we've finished this one! ?
