West Ham 3-0 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Not a hope.

If you're a centre forward you'd absolutely love to play against him. Easiest day you'll have all year. He made one good saving tackle after being miles out of position to start with and that's it.
He was only as out of position as Dawson on that occasional, one got back to put in a good recovery challenge whilst the other was walking through treacle. At least half the team did far worse than Kilman today.

Bentley, Semedo, Toti, J Gomes and Hwang for sure.

But it's not about today in isolation. It's about him constantly needing his hand held (which causes knock-on effects, against weak teams we have a superfluous CH against no-one and no proper RWB) and being a terrible captain, with a very limited upside as even in his preferred role he isn't *that* good.

The third goal was so naive. A simple 1-2 takes out our entire defence. Not excusing Bentley in anyway.

We seem clueless how to defend counter attacks

Edit. Goes back to the point about defending 1 v 1

I'd throw Cunha, Sarabia and Bellegarde into that group too personally.

I'm not exactly looking to start a Kilman fan club but he wasn't really drawing my attention today as a key part of the failure.

Grim. Not sure anyone played anything like good enough. Gomes and Lemina probably our best players but it's a low bar.
Hwang poor, Sarabia poor but at least tried to create things. Not Cunha's best performance but the best of our front 3.
Defence were all awful. Full backs kept going missing, Dawson too deep quite a lot as he's scared of getting caught. Kilman the least worst.
Bentley, I have no words.
Our passing was continually short and kept allowing West Ham to break.
Subs were too late and terrible. Not sure why it took so long to get RAN on, he's pretty much our only option on the bench to create anything.
Just before and just after the offside goal was our best patch but it just felt like a matter of time till they caught us on the break.
It feels like GON and Hwangs purple patch is over.
We really need a win in the next 3 games but I've confidence. Shithousing a result over Brentford seems our best hope.

Apart from conceding 3 goals it was even?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Three disastrous goals that we conceded from nothing. We beat ourselves today, gave West Ham the game... We can discuss the performance but it’s all irrelevant if we do so poorly in big moments like that in the Premier League, you stand no chance.’

Oh and not sure how Coufal stayed on the pitch so long. It looked like they were targeting Bellegarde.

It was like they thought he was Traore, 3 really poor challenges on him, but by far the worst was the first one. Even Moyes looked shocked with that one.

GON has already peaked since his Bournemouth masterclass. That's as good as it'll get here for him.
