Thanks for the welcome. I have follwed the wolves since 1973. On my profile is a picture of me as the school goalkeeper in 1973. The kit was blue and the GK kit ripped to bits. My parents brought the Old gold shirt you have seen me wearing and as a bit of a stto I started to look into the teams that it could be. Cambridge, Hull and Wolves and Wolves were Div 1. They then won the league cup and I have been with them ever since. My job in the earl;y days meant that I was able to meet the players a couple of times when they were down in the old div 3 and 4! I have changed my wives a couple of times over the years but have never changed my team. Despite cursing with many of you throughout 2012 and what seemed like a pregnancy without a home win I have all my fingers crossed for a good season. SS has started well and seems to be getting some of our " hard to reach" players playing well ( Mr Johnson are you reading this cause if you are you know you need to perform every week and we will reward you with player of the season. Show us your heart is old gold and we will support you. You owe us this season) Right thats off my chest. Heres to 2012-13. Come on me Babbies!

Sorry- didnt answer all your questions.
1. Favourite player is a little obscure but I loved Garry Pierce because of his performance in 1974 and I was a 10 year old goalkeeper. Other favourites included Derek Parkin- solid, Steve Bull- Legend, Matt Murray- Underated , Steve Kindon- Colossus!
2. Thought that the sacking of MM was probably the right thing but could not get my head around the timing. Surely you sack a manager before a transfer window not after? Thought MM was a really decent bloke and sad that it didnt work out ( remember I was around with the Bhattis, Sammy Chung and Tommy Docherty so It has been worse) Like TC as a person but not a manager.
3. Really want SS to succeed and early signs are good.
4. Dont get to anywhere near the number of games I would like too due to work and distance.

In fact clicking on 'The Forum' at the top, scrolling down to the very bottom, there's dozens of blokes I've never seen post anything, so as Paddy says, it's great to have you guys come out of the woodwork.

Hi, just joined after reading the forum for ages, thought it was about time I actually joined. I've supported Wolves my whole life as my family are from Wolverhampton (although I was born in Iceland and lived there until I was about 8 before coming back to Wolves). My first match was a 2-0 win at home to Grimsby just after my 12th birthday, Bully and Keane were both injured, Kevin Muscat scored a penalty and Steve Sedgely hit the post from about 5 yards with an open goal. I used to be a season ticket holder when I was a teenager but can't really afford it now. I still try to go to as many games as I can though (was at Molineux for the Barnsley game the other day). My favourite player has always been Steve Bull, I always liked Mike Stowell too when he played for us. I'm looking forward to seeing how the new manager's signings and new system work out, the performance was definitely encouraging on Tuesday and it'll be nice to see us do something other than lump it up the field after last season. I'll be watching Sigurtharson with particular interest. Here's hoping we bag a few goals against Derby.
 
Afternoon folks, over opinionated Wolves fan here just thought I'd introduce myself, some of you may know me from another Wolves forum I frequent. I'm gonna lurk a little and see how the land lies, might chip in a bit now and again before unleashing myself on you poor unsuspecting people.
