I hid my Americanness for awhile until I felt comfortable here but have come out of the closet and broken the ice for us 'Mercuns to roam freely. They're good people here, aside from needing the occasional reminder about who nuked Hitler.

Never felt uncomfortable here. Marcus Hahnemann paved the way for me to gallivant about flaunting my Americanism. Some of the idioms tend to elude me but I'll catch on. I'm gonna call it soccer, though. :stirthepot:

I'm always a bit uneasy about trudging into foreign territory and flaunting the Americanness... Lots of American haters out there, so I figured I'd just test the waters for a bit first. Marcus certainly didn't hurt the cause.

I don't always understand what the hell they're on about either. :icon_lol: Some of the humor is definitely lost in translation.
