Vitor sacked

Yes I would agree with this - and the 2nd part of your last sentence would obviously depend on who stays, who goes, and how much these bloody owners are prepared to back us in the event of relegation
In my current pessimistic mindset, I dont think any of the half decent players will want to stay, possibly Tolu? Gomes, Andre, Larsen won't, Krejci won't sign permanently.
Ive readied myself to seeing this first day of next season in the Champ.
.......................Johnstone.
Jackson.....Agba......Toti....Wolfe.
.........Bouba......Doyle.....Bellegarde
....Lopez..........Hwang.......Mane.
There'll no doubt be a few lower Champ journeyman in the squad.

I hate them all - and I'm not prepared to give it as much thought as you have. It'll just depress me further

Wolves to make formal approach for Rob Edwards today, official move this afternoon.

It feels like we are back in 2016 and they have just sacked Zenga with the subsequent Nuno era being a bizarre dream that we just woke up from

I sadly forecast this step by sad step regression to being a middle of the road provincially minded but safe and secure Championship club when I heard that after an initial input from Fosun we would be self sustaining.

Over the years there's been a large number of Wolves staff ranging from certain older members of the board to employees lower in the hierarchy that would be super content with the likes of an over promoted scout like Hobbs and a manager in Rob Edwards who the older ladies very much admire....

It's been coming a while now and it's staring us in the face.

All I can say is 'You've made your money from Wolves, now **** off home'.

:-(

I’d sooner see Carrick than Edwards. Sterling career at the top level that should gain respect from players.
Edwards was a chumpionship journeyman of a player with a not too dissimilar trajectory of a managerial career. If he jumps ship again only to fail, which he is likely to do here, he’ll bollocks up his career as folk employing him will think he’ll leave them at the first sign of success.
Don’t do it Rob.

I dont hate any of them, just dont particularly care about any of them.
Tbf Ive had plenty of time on my hands cos Im retired and also got a bad back atm which means Ive spent all week sitting in my chair swallowing loads of ibuprofen and paracetamol, washed down with beer and red wine.

Can you play centre half?

Someone’s just said on twitter, giving Rob Edwards a free pass and accepting relegation seems ok, until you realise you paid £735 for a season ticket

I like Edwards but I do think he's got a lower upside and a lower downside than Keane, just based on trophies, romance and a bit of mystery, if that makes sense. I'd rather either than some random Portuguese cunt mind, and in the absence of a manager with genuine pedigree you've got to compromise somewhere, and Shi obviously thinks (probably correctly) that the history will help get fans on side

Yep, only just joined 'boro. Absolute bellend if he throws that away for a guaranteed relegation and possible sacking.

In the state we are in, I would take Allardyce. His reputation maligns him (as a manager) but he would instil some defensive organisation which we are badly lacking. His football won't excite anybody, but that's been missing at Wolves for a few years.

A choice between someone untried and untested who will inevitably be sacked too late...or Allardyce until the end of the season I will take Allardyce.
Not sure what this is based on, his last good season was at Palace in 2016/17 (so long ago that Paul Lambert was our manager and Danny Batth and Dave Edwards were first team regulars), he's had two firefighting jobs since at Albion and Leeds that would fall into the bracket of our current predicament and he relegated both teams with very little fight.

The fact that we’ve gone public with the approach would probably mean he’s given an indication that he’s keen. Hopefully Boro will stick to their guns like they did with their midfielder in the transfer window.
