Democracy!Money I’d guess, most of the candidates seem to be billionaires, it costs a fortune to mount a campaign

He keeps pushing his luck on his Truth Social account and is close to at least 1 judge pulling him back to court and giving him a few days insideBasically he needs to be imprisoned ASAP.
This is a State charge not a Federal charge and if elected he would have no power to get it overturned. Shame.Another boatload of charges over the election in Georgia, including racketeering. They need to get these to stick before he is elected and pardons himself. Basically he needs to be imprisoned ASAP. Which won’t happen as he is expert at slinging dollars at delay tactics. Might be neater to find a patsy to shoot him, but Hoover and co aren’t around any more to arrange that shit.
This then: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-67153479Sydney Powell has copped a plea and will now appear as a witness for the prosecution in Trump’s Georgia vote rigging trial. As she was his lawyer at the time this should be interesting.
The maths is straight forward, limit your annual income to $999k...
Didn't know which other thread would be suitable.Apart from being American why would you put this on a Trump thread? They couldn't be more diametrically opposed politically
I thought he was saying you pay 100% tax on earnings. Meaning everything you earn you pay to the government.Plus it's a reasonable enough point surely. It simply means that any earnings/profits above £1bn p/a go to the Treasury. It's not money that the individual or company will miss and theoretically could massively increase tax income to be distributed for the good of the whole country (accepting that such individuals/companies probably won't pay their taxes properly and then you have to trust whichever Government's in power to use the extra money properly, you wouldn't with the current UK Government as they're a great mix of bent and stupid).
If you had such a levy on the likes of Shell/BP the public purse would have been swelled hugely over the last couple of years.
Er, no?!I thought he was saying you pay 100% tax on earnings. Meaning everything you earn you pay to the government.
