Hood and bonnet aren't too dissimilar really with the head wear connection. We call it a boot as in the old days on carts it used to be known as a boot locker. Yous call it the trunk as before it was integrated it used to basically be a shelf you'd put a trunk/chest on

I think Antony Blinken would be a great candidate. Didn’t realise he is Jewish which sadly may be a barrier for him. I fear Biden will hang on in the belief he can win again but there must be better alternatives than him.
