Trump

Biden is far from progressive but compared to Trump he's like Nye Bevin... I still think the USA is going to face a long period of instability and fractured society, with Trump and his acolytes fermenting hatred and discontent for a long time to come.

So is he and the rest of his freeloading robbing family at risk of getting arrested now? or do we have to wait until January, I'm guessing January when it's official Biden is president
 
I don't think any of them will be arrested. Making him a martyr is a mistake Biden won't make.

I'm not sure about that, his history of tax evasion and his billion dollar debts are sure to catch up with him sooner or later... what I think may happen though, as suggested in The Last Leg last night is that Pence will take over as acting President in the next couple of weeks and whilst in charge issue a Presidential pardon for all of Trump's crimes...

Would agree with that, Biden will want to keep things low key to try to settle things down after the election for quite a while.

Also the cunt will welcome any publicity he gets if they start any legal proceedings against him

Yes, I saw Richard Osman say that, but surely to pardon he'd have to be arrested and charged first? Obviously I'm not a constitutional lawyer, but can you pardon someone for crimes they've not been charged of yet?

Not sure, that sounds plausible though. Maybe it'll be some kind of granting of immunity from prosecution?

Richard Nixon had a presumptive pardon for crimes he had not yet been charged for. I think the timing of a presumptive pardon is key, Biden would want the charges laid before intervening. If he pardons Trump for something he has not yet been charged for Trump will spin that to his advantage.

A pardon also has to be accepted, if Trump accepts a pardon it would suggest guilt.
