What are you getting at here? Are you saying the club are right to get tourists in as they will spend more or the opposite?Matchday revenue is so much more than ticket prices though. It's merch, food and drink etc. It's one of a number of red herrings thrown out in that interview that some people are biting on
Neither- I'm saying quoting matchday revenue as a certain percentage to justify price increases is disingenuous when ticket prices are only a proportion of what makes up matchday revenue. Let's say all sth pay an extra £100, that's £2m in total give or take, or 1 PL place. It's milking fans, losing goodwill whilst gaining very little in the grand scheme of things. We aren't going to buy more club shop tat or pies because of it, so £2m is all you have increased your matchday revenue by. Plus say £25k a game by putting a fiver on tickets for none sth'sWhat are you getting at here? Are you saying the club are right to get tourists in as they will spend more or the opposite?
Yeah I agree there. Swiss ramble had wolves “matchday” money at around £13m. That included several EL games but missed off a few PL (although 22k of the tickets were already paid for). So “matchday” revenue with no price increase will probably be around the £13m again give or take a bit. That is 7% of A likely turnover.Neither- I'm saying quoting matchday revenue as a certain percentage to justify price increases is disingenuous when ticket prices are only a proportion of what makes up matchday revenue. Clubshop, kiosks and hospitality. The first 2 you aren't increasing revenue of as a result of this. The shirt deal will increase profit, but that's obviously different. The latter we admit we can't put up as the facilities in the SB are shite. That's where the ground improvements will come, but it won't improve things for normal fans in thereSo 1) where does this 16% come from.
Agree with this totally. The core fan base that go to matches has, is and will be always Wolverhampton and the surrounding area. As in Stourbridge, Kingswinford that area. They're absolutely dreaming if they're thinking people are flying in from all over the world to watch Wolverhampton Wanderers. Cloud cuckoo land.
Or any train north after a game.Never been on a train with London Wolves then have you?
Thats just the Darlo, Lycan and Aiki express as well..Or any train north after a game.
Are there 25,000 of them on that train? If not then they are not the core are they... There are small groups of Wolves fans around the globe. They are not the big number that go to the match.Never been on a train with London Wolves then have you?
Except in Italy and Mexico! Are there 25,000 of them on that train? If not then they are not the core are they... There are small groups of Wolves fans around the globe. They are not the big number that go to the match.
