Things that make you SAD thread.

Had a call at 10 is last night telling me one of my stepdaughters had been hit by a car.
Turns out she was on a night out in Derby, and was caught up in the hit and run there.
Mrs jelly is in bits, as are the rest of the family.
She's out of immediate danger, but she took the brunt of the hit & has the worst injuries, including spinal damage which needs further mri scans and so on.
Thats really terrible news none of us want to hear. Hope she's ok and is on the mend soon.

Sorry to hear that Warren, best wishes to the family and I wish her a speedy recovery!

If you or the family need anything Nottingham/Derby way then please send me a DM and I will be happy to help.

Really sorry to hear that LJ, wishing her a speedy recovery and thoughts with you and the family. That must have been an awful call to receive.

Fingers crossed for her, thoughts with you and the family, you never imagine this shit affects people you know

Can only echo what others have said here.

Horrible news and everything crossed for a positive outcome of this. We are all here if you need to vent or a release from the emotional strain

Awful news LJ - thinking of you and your family. I do hope for a positive outcome and a speedy recovery.

Appreciate all the positive thoughts everyone. Means more than I can put into words.
It's been atoough day, She's in hospital in nottingham. Pretty serious damage to her neck, with surgery happening tomorrow morning. We've been with her al day, but the painkillers, combined with the shock have clearly had a significant impact.
It's really surreal with it beain all across the media/new channels.

Hope everything goes as smoothly as possible and that you get to maintain some privacy while y’all are dealing with this.

All the best for your step daughter for tomorrow Warren. I’m sure she’ll be getting the best care possible. Thoughts are with you and your family

Working far far too hard and making myself ill again (not on purpose, but I have been).

Come on Danny Boy, look after yourself. This mob need someone to tell them who scored against Peterborough in 1994.

(Cyrille Regis away and Guy Whittingham at home)
So yeah, I heard back from the hospital and I have epilepsy.

Which is fine. At least I know, at least we can deal with it, at least we can get treatment, at least if it happens again we know what it is.

Thank you all once again for all your support, it really does mean a lot.

Perhaps Flight of the Conchords could hold a fundraiser for you? 😉

Hopefully she’s ok and there’s no or minimal long term damage. 🤞

Mate of mine developed it, probably induced by driving from Welshpool to Stafford every day for work. It’s been completely controlled by drugs with no side effects. Hope everything is as smooth for you.

Good to have a diagnosis & as has been mentioned epilepsy has good treatment plans nowadays which usually means it is well managed.

Hope they get it under control soon.

Daughter was diagnosed a few years ago after i missed half the mid week win over Arsenal, due to her having a seizure in the steve Bull toilets.

Got back to the car to find i'd got a parking ticket to, shit night for me.
