Followed PTS asking if anything has happened

He spent £75m himself, the club had spent £100m+ in the summer on Collins, Matheus, Guedes and Kalajdzic.

Sacking Lage and appointing Lopetegui cost a lot of money too.

We were never going to go big again this window but spending a bit of what we've brought in since shouldn't have been out of the question. And if it was, we should have said so and not lied about it, which it appears we did.

He should also have just got on with his bloody job.
For clarity , I’m not saying lop has done nothing wrong here, but equally we don’t know what he’s asked for.

If he has been told we have X amount of money to spend, then all of a sudden nothing, he’s every right to be pissed.

If he is expecting a club our size to have an open cheque book every window, he’s a fucking idiot.

I don’t see how we couldn’t have for example got Scott and that CB in, especially with our outgoings. If that was the case, and he was still kicking up such a fuss, then yeah, grow up pal.

No way should our two signings this summer be a third choice keeper and Doc. Equally, I’m not a fan of his ‘I’m telling everyone mantra’. You’re highly paid, get on with it.

No, I did not hope we lost a load of games then sacked a manager in the middle of a season.

I thought it was a terrible idea to start with, but I wanted the team to do well. Would be perverse not to. Then it was even worse this time last year as we obviously should have sacked him based on the available evidence but we didn't. I still didn't want us to lose or hope the players didn't try.

Never once have I hoped Wolves would lose so we'd sack the manager. Not Lage, not Saunders, not Hoddle.
If he's going to fail, which he inevitably will I would rather he did it quickly than take 38 games and relegated us.

Gary O'Neil was being linked with newly-promoted Sheffield Wednesday about a month ago and lost out to Xisco Munoz. Now it seems he's going to get a Premier League job. I'd be curious to know who else we looked at, if anyone.
I think we’d all like to know that.
Suspect Matt Hobbs is astute enough to have contacted several likely candidates.
The extent to which Lopetegui has been bloody awkward and unreasonable is another factor in the shit show.
It’s very likely that Shi’s bosses have changed the financial parameters, and left Shi with little room for manoeuvre.
Shooting ourselves in the foot, not for the first time, just as things began to look promising.
Whoever the new guy is, he’ll face a difficult task. He’ll need our support as fans of the club.

Seems pretty definite he’s gone now.

If he's going to fail, which he inevitably will I would rather he did it quickly than take 38 games and relegated us.
I’m not delighted by O’Neil but I’m not convinced he will inevitably fail, more likely we will have a bit of a meh season rather than what would have been possible if Jeff and Lop hadn’t behaved like rutting elks.

Not sure you would expect the meeting to have finished, the staff and players would need to be told, then the press release.

I would expect GB, to have leaked it, nothing as of yet, one can only hope sense has prevailed and an agreement has been made
