The Video Games Thread II - The Resurrection

That's because you're used to PES. It really isn't that different game play wise. Honestly.

I suppose leaving PES behind for FIFA is like quitting smoking. Difficult to do but if you get over your addiction, you'll be much better for it.

Not at all, i played FIFA10 much more than PES and until i recently bought PES on PS3 i'd played more of FIFA this season too, it just doesn't do it for me. FIFA has improved massively in the last few years but its just lacking the magic of PES, it doesn't flow as nicely, it feels rigid and heavy.

I think PES is a bit like watching Premier league football with ITV coverage on a wank old TV, FIFA is like watching La Liga on Sky Sports through full HD, i know which one i'll find more entertaining everytime.

:icon_lol:

I like that!

FIFA to me is like watching on a knackered VHS tape. Looks slow and stuttery.

I enjoy FIFA when it first comes out every year, but I tire of it after about a month or so when I realise where I can and can't score from. I haven't played single player for probably six months. I play online clubs with some of my mates, but that is hideously flawed but it helps to pass the time.

Same. Play it solidly for a month or 2 after release then never really bother more than once a month after that. Wasn't planning on buying it this year but the new impact engine looks like it could be a good addition. Injuries have always seemed the be the one major missing element from any football game that's not manager related and hopefully this will bring in that challenge of missing players. Gets boring going through a season with not 1 injury and just playing same 11. Looking forward to giving it a test (as well as PES) at the Eurogamer expo next month so will decide then if I buy or not. Also playable at the Game fest in Brum NEC http://events.game.co.uk/gamefest/exhibitors/ £10 but need a game reward card. MW3, BF3 and Mass Effect 3 also there too :D.

Not a big gamer as such, but i am proud to say i have just completed Call of Duty 4 on the Kids Nintendo DS...yay for me i reckon! lol

Seabass can fuck off. He's not getting any more of my money.

The wife bought me Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare for Christmas last year and I've just got round to playing it. Completely and utterly hooked, Rockstar really knocked it out of the park with this one.

Apparently, MW3 will feature a maximum of 32 players on multiplayer mode.

Very good news if they manage to create maps large enough for it not to feel cluttered.

Keep checking HotUKDeals - as the release day nears, they'll list all the deals up there.

There wasn't much value around for FIFA 11, everywhere I saw had it for £40.

I got it for about £30 I think, from Asda.
