The Transfer Thread 2024/25 - Everything Not Wolves

Dele Alli to Como. It's easy to forget how fucking good he was as a kid. He had the world at his feet, could've gone as far as Zidane.

Don't think he had anything like that level of ability. He was very good arriving late in the box and acting almost like a second striker at times but I never thought he actually bought a great deal to the build up.

Yeah perhaps a tad over the top, but he looked destined to score 25-30 goals a season for a decade, his influence on football could've been huge

Even that seems a stretch given he only got into that bracket once. He was a good Premier League and in all likelihood would've continued in that vein, I don't think he'd have been troubling many records though.

That's what I'm saying though, end of that 16/17 season, that's the sort of player I thought he looked like becoming. 20 years old one the best players in the league

God Chicago are a fucking mess.

Villa turn down 57m from W Ham for Dhuran.

Regardless of whether people think that would represent value at that price, this just shows the difference between us and the spending power/ambition against some of the clubs we are competing with at the moment, especially after their spend in the Summer. Meanwhile we scrat around trying to find 10m here and there for more punts that end up being unfit for purpose.

Was just shocked to see the figure involved, when I recall reading in December they were sailing close to breaching ffp.

Don’t think it’s fair to relate that offer back to Fosun. Our current transfer policy is quite obviously shit, but spending ~£50m on Duran would be absolutely as stupid as anything else we’ve done lately.
