I’m a little surprised that Brighton were willing to let him go to another Prem club (or at all), even with no purchase option.

Suppose it’s less that I don’t see the benefits that are possible, but they’re not guaranteed and Enciso is good enough to make an impact at Brighton even if it’s off the bench, IMO. Though obviously he himself may not be thrilled with that role.

I dunno, very easy for me to imagine he gets glued to the bench at Ipswich simply because they’re in a relegation battle and you have to think that he will implicitly be less motivated by that than his peers who will be under contract there next season.

Guess it depends on the individual. I know plenty of people that never get paid a penny to play but always give 100%. Brighton probably want him to get plenty of minutes on the pitch which they can’t guarantee.

This one really pissed me off. Instantly improves the starting 11 of our direct rival and a player that surely would have chosen us ahead of them if we’d shown interest?
