Villa are paying £26.5m for Mings!
Christ alive. That is ridiculous!

Fair enough they have the money to be spending that much on one player but look how many holes their squad still has and they've spent north of £60M already!
Still need another CB, a GK, a RB, at least 1 CM, a winger and probably another striker as well.
We spent rather a lot to have pretty much the same team last season as we had the season before too tbf.And they’ve spent that money to basically have the same team as last year (with the Belgian instead of Abraham). Crazy times.
Makes sense as to why we’ve not spent this summer though - everyone wants stupid money unless there’s a release clause...

Yep, but didn't actually pay for any of those, £5m bargain of the century aside, in the transfer window I believe?Patricio, Moutinho, Jimenez and Jonny all regulars and all big improvement on the previous year. You can probably add Dendonker too.
Depends on how you look at Patricio deal. The 18m was classed as a fee spent during the window even though he could have been a free transferYep, but didn't actually pay for any of those, £5m bargain of the century aside, in the transfer window I believe?
True, I was kinda saying though, that we did a similar exercise to villa and spent a fair chunk of money on keeping our loanees first - around £40 to 50m?Depends on how you look at Patricio deal. The 18m was classed as a fee spent during the window even though he could have been a free transfer

Tielemans to Leicester is done.
Apparently they are also in for Thauvin for 28m.
Can genuinely see us and Leicester finishing above united and Chelsea this season
