I still haven't heard a coherent argument for how Villa are going to adhere to FFP so I'm going to assume they wont

I don't think the EFL will block them from getting promoted but will put them under a transfer embargo - whether the EPL enforce this too is another question

I do wonder if the new owners fully understand what FFP actually means

They can't enforce an embargo if they get promoted though. Also we don't know what deal the new owners cut with the EFL prior to the buyout re FFP.
