The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

Hi all. First time in 27 hours that I've been able to look at a screen of any type. Update is, went well, been back for my 24hr check up and things are really good. Can see a fair bit but will take a week or so for everything to get to to normal.
Not as much pain as I expected so thats another bonus!

Thanks for caring!!

Wolves 10k today. That was class - smashed my PB by 90 seconds with a time of 43:14 and it was awesome to start and finish inside the ground.

Had my second shingles jab today, freebie when you’re a codger, fucking arms aching though.

Had my first one today. My arm's aching and blood sugar is through the roof.

Usually have to wait until May to dig my shorts out, had em on for a week now, probably have them on next Sunday looking at the weather forecast. 😉

Waste collection is bad in brum, always has been in my experience, and their recycling record is terrible. Must be a logistical nightmare though.

There is definitely a marked difference in collections in affluent areas, and non-affluent, which has been exacerbated by the strike.

The city has only had big wheely bins for less than a decade. Prior to that it was bin bags everywhere.

With effective composting of stuff, & recycling what we can, Mrs jelly & I generate v little waste, & could probably get away with a monthly refuse collection & fortnightly recycling. But we're no way representative.
